What you will build
We are seeking a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer/SRE with leadership capabilities to join our global & multidisciplinary team of DevOps engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in systems administration, software development, and cloud infrastructure, coupled with a passion for driving team excellence and operational success. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in enabling our SRE team to enhance their capabilities and achieve higher efficiency and quality in cloud product operations and deployments. You will ensure that we meet corporate SLAs and achieve zero downtime, implementing professional-grade release standards and rapid deployment capabilities for a multitude of microservices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines, optimizing for microservices architectures and ensuring seamless, zero-downtime deployments.
- Develop and maintain scalable automation tools and infrastructure, ensuring robustness and agility in our DevOps practices.
- Oversee the service level agreements (SLAs) and service level objectives (SLOs) of our platforms, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Manage SaaS application releases, including planning, pipeline configuration, monitoring, and post-release analysis.
- Participate in on-call rotations, providing expert troubleshooting and incident resolution to maintain system integrity and uptime.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product management teams in an Agile environment to align development efforts with business objectives.
- Lead and refine our release management strategy for cloud-native applications, focusing on micro-delivery and continuous deployment.
- Mentor and guide SRE team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
What you bring
- Development:
- Proficiency in Python, with experience in Go and Java (Spring Cloud).
- Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- DevOps & SRE:
- Minimum of 6 years in high-impact DevOps or SRE roles, preferably in an enterprise setting.
- Extensive experience with modern CI/CD tools (ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Helm for package management.
- Mastery of GitOps principles for efficient cloud-native deployments.
- In-depth knowledge of microservices deployment strategies and lifecycle management.
- Practical experience with major public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, Ali Cloud).
- Proficiency in container orchestration using Kubernetes, including YAML scripting and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with database and middleware technologies (PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka).
- Strong background in monitoring and alerting with tools like ELK stack, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
- Proven track record in incident management and operational resilience.
- General:
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and enable a high-performing team.
