Senior Software Engineer – DevOps

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – DevOps to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure and CI/CD platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, virtual machines, infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and SRE principles. This role requires deep technical expertise along with ownership mindset to improve reliability, automation, and deployment velocity across engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to enable automated build, test, and deployment workflows
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for scalability, reliability, and performance
• Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools
• Configure and maintain virtual machines and cloud-based infrastructure
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions
• Apply SRE principles to improve system reliability, availability, and performance
• Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews
• Automate operational tasks to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment practices and release processes
• Drive security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure roles
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and cluster management
• Experience managing virtual machines and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and system administration
• Experience implementing monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience handling production incidents
• Understanding of SRE principles including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and reliability engineering practices
