The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. With its more than 1800 professionals, SAP Labs Bulgaria also has strong contributions toward life-cycle management, user interface & user experience across the broader portfolio of SAP products and has recently welcomed new teams focusing on business applications. SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is SAP’s multi-cloud PaaS offering and the technological foundation of SAP cloud products. Thousands of customers are running critical business applications on it. Keeping our customers’ data secure and managing it in accordance with laws and regulations and mitigating cybersecurity risks is of highest importance.

As a Cloud Software Engineer you will be responsible for implementing, designing and operating tools and services that make DevSecOps for platform developers more efficient. The projects will focus on automating security processes for the collection and presentation of compliance information for external audits to fulfill legal requirements.

You will benefit from SAPs experience in professional software development using the latest software engineering techniques and technologies like K8s, Cloud Foundry, and Gardener

What you bring:

• A good university degree (bachelor, diploma, master, PhD) in computer science, or related fields. Similar qualifications are welcome as well.

• Technical understanding of cloud solutions and their underlying architecture

• 2+ years working experience in agile development teams and implementing software in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python

• Fluent language skills in English - verbal and written

• Knowledge of or interest in security, risk management and compliance topics are a plus but not a prerequisite

The Security and Risk Management team of SAP Business Technology Platform is a group of colleagues covering almost every security and compliance domain. Our goal is to find efficient and technically sound solutions. We are developing services and tools to automate security-by-default principles and simplify compliance to security requirements. The team is taking a risk-based approach to security, supporting thousands of colleagues across the BTP organization.
