Bring

• 3–5 years of hands-on ABAP development experience on SAP S/4HANA with Strong understanding of the ABAP Enhancement Framework — BAdIs, User Exits, and implicit/explicit enhancements
• Experience with ABAP OO (object-oriented programming), ALV reports and classical Dynpro.
• Strong proficiency in ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), CDS Views, and OData services.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) services and cloud-native development patterns.
• Proficiency in ABAP Unit Testing and clean code practices.
• Practical experience or working knowledge of AI/ML integration - including SAP AI Core, Joule, or embedding LLM based capabilities into SAP applications.
• Understanding of IDOC/EDI-based message exchange is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work in agile, cross-functional teams.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with product managers, architects, and domain experts
• An ownership mindset - you take responsibility for development, testing, and production stability.
• An accountable approach to AI - you use AI-assisted tools effectively, evaluate outputs for quality,
• and design prompts and context inputs that produce reliable results.
• Knowledge of IS-Utilities business processes will be a strong plus

Build

• Develop and enhance ABAP-based functionality within the IS-Utilities Market Communication product on SAP S/4HANA.
• Design, build, and maintain CDS views, OData services, and RAP-based business objects to support market communication scenarios.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into utility processes — for example, intelligent message validation, anomaly detection in market data exchange, or process automation.
• Collaborate with product owners, functional consultants, and data scientists to translate energy-market requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Ensure quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to SAP development best practices and performance standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to market communication message flows and data exchange.
• Contribute to innovation by proactively identifying opportunities to apply AI to improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation within the product.
