Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you'll bring

You're a developer with solid ABAP experience and a genuine interest in building production-quality software. You bring strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and the creative thinking and learning agility to adapt as the role evolves.

  • Experience building Fiori applications, RAP (ABAP RESTful Application Programming) objects, ABAP reports, and customer enhancements in S/4HANA.
  • Strong ABAP coding and debugging skills, with a track record of troubleshooting production systems.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, with experience integrating AI and large language model (LLM) services into applications.
  • An ownership mindset - you take responsibility for testing, validation, and production stability.
  • An accountable approach to AI - you use AI-assisted tools effectively, evaluate outputs for quality, and design prompts and context inputs that produce reliable results.

What you'll build

As part of the SAP Management of Change product team, you'll design, develop, and maintain AI-enabled features in S/4HANA. Your work spans new development, production reliability, and hands-on AI integration.

  • Design and build production-grade features within the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) module in S/4HANA.
  • Extend and maintain Fiori applications, RAP objects, ABAP reports, and customer enhancements across Public Cloud and Private Cloud deployments.
  • Debug and resolve production issues - contributing to incident analysis and stability improvements.
  • Integrate AI and LLM services into application workflows, maintaining quality and correctness standards.
  • Contribute to CI/CD (continuous integration and delivery) pipelines, observability practices, and application security.
  • Support the team's modernisation from established ABAP frameworks towards next-generation AI-enabled product features.

Where you belong

The Sustainability team builds SAP Management of Change, part of the Environment, Health and Safety module in S/4HANA. The team serves customers on Public Cloud and Private Cloud, working on the BOPF (Business Object Processing Framework) - one of ABAP's most established frameworks - while building the AI capabilities that will define its next chapter. You'll be based at SAP Labs Bulgaria in Sofia, joining a team at the crossroads of technical heritage and enterprise AI.
