Role Purpose:
The Treasury Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely execution of daily cash management activities, including cash positioning, payment processing and bank account administration. The role ensures transparency and reliability of liquidity information by maintaining high-quality reconciliation and transaction processing. It contributes to efficient treasury operations by executing standardized processes and ensuring data accuracy across banking and accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Cash Positioning & Reconciliation
- Reconcile daily cash positions by generating and processing bank statements
- Identify and correct discrepancies, including reversing incorrect entries
- Validate reconciliations within the treasury management system
Liquidity Management & Cash Movements
- Daily monitoring of cash pool accounts
- Create near-term cash forecast for cash pool
- Determine and execute daily cash transactions based on liquidity needs
- Manage internal cash movements and ensure proper allocation
- Manage transactions at IC payment dates regarding cash pool
- Support accurate tracking of daily liquidity positions
Bank Account Management
- Manage bank account lifecycle (opening and closing)
- Process requests, obtain approvals and update systems accordingly
- Inform and align with accounting teams on account changes
Payment Processing & Execution
- Create payment files and support execution of payment runs
- Validate and authorize outgoing payments based on defined procedures
- Monitor payment processing and resolve failed transactions
Bank Fee Validation & End-of-Day Processing
- Reconcile bank fees by comparing actual charges with contractual conditions
- Investigate discrepancies and initiate correction requests
- Perform end-of-day activities including system processing, FX confirmation and generation of GL transfers
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Completed commercial apprenticeship
- Degree in Business Administration or basic accounting knowledge desirable
Required Experience:
- Min 5 years of experience in Treasury Operations within a global organization
- Maintaining liquidity
- Optimizing cash resources
- Managing risk. Identifying, measuring, analyzing and mitigating potential threats to the company — including financial risks
Desired Experience:
- Initial experience in treasury operations, accounting or cash management desirable
- Experience with SAP, treasury management systems or electronic banking tools advantageous.
