Position Summary

As a Senior Sales Executive, Direct Sales (Power Generation), you will be responsible for managing and expanding our Data Center Key Accounts portfolio in Japan. This includes developing long-term relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth across complex, turnkey solutions for the Data Center market.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage pre-defined Data Center Key Accounts in Japan and identify opportunities to win and develop new Data Center clients.
  • Develop and maintain long-term growth strategies with key accounts, focusing on turnkey solutions that include equipment delivery, customized scopes, peripherals, logistics, installation & commissioning, and service agreements.
  • Lead the preparation of complex tenders, including technical and commercial clarifications, specifications, terms & conditions, and scope of works.
  • Develop holistic quotations covering commercial offers, bills of materials, technical submittals, service information, and related documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders—including application & sales engineering, controlling, project management, service, network management, order management, R&D, and subsidiaries—to successfully quote and execute turnkey projects.
  • Achieve sales targets and KPIs as set for Data Center Direct Sales.
  • Monitor and analyse global and regional market trends in the Data Center industry to support strategic business decisions.
  • Utilize internal sales and information tools (e.g., CRM, configuration tools, technical libraries) for sales activities, planning, and reporting, ensuring adherence to internal processes and the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.

Position Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the Data Center industry or emergency power generation business.
  • Proven track record in sales—leading opportunities from lead generation to quote, order, project completion, and installations.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written Japanese and English.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 30%).
  • Strong understanding of Data Center infrastructure and technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
  • Independent, reliable, and proactive personality.
