Why join Rolls-Royce?

At Rolls-Royce we are committed to always being a force for progress; powering, protecting and connecting people everywhere.

Our emerging talent programs are designed to help you build your career from day one. You'll work on meaningful projects, learn from experienced colleagues, and develop the skills to make a real impact. That's Infinite Potential.

Role overview:

In this role, you'll be based in the Integrated Controls Systems (ICS) capability group. This group is part of Rolls-Royce Engineering, Technology and Safety, the central home for engineering skills in the Rolls-Royce group.

The ICS group is made up of a diverse group of engineering covering: Software (traditional and model-based), Systems, Electronics, Electrical Power, Mechanical, and Product Security. We work closely together in design, integration, testing, service support, and supply chain management to ensure our customers’ needs are met.

What you’ll be doing:

Supported by a Senior Engineer, you’ll work on a mechanical hardware project to support solutions for core engine subsystems, including fuel, oil, and air regulation.

Through this internship, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the product development lifecycle including:

• Capturing and validating customer requirements

• Collaborating with suppliers during component design

• Executing hardware verification testing

• Supporting in-service engine technical inquiries and documentation

Who we’re looking for:

• Working towards an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, and/or related degree

• Eager to collaborate across cross-functional teams, ask insightful questions, and break down problem statements into clear, actionable solutions

• Proactive problem-solver with the ability to manage tasks from concept to completion

• Convey information clearly through strong written and verbal skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders from individual contributors to leadership

***Travel: Candidates must be able to commute to various local and regional (West Lafayette) worksites as needed.

Our behaviors drive us - we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference. We’ll expect that of you, too.

Minimum GPA: 3.0

Work authorization eligibility: U.S. Citizen

What we offer:

• Meaningful work from day one, with the support to help you succeed

• A culture that invests in your personal and professional development

• The chance to grow your skills while working on real projects in a global company

Join us and help create the technologies that will shape tomorrow. If you're ready to learn, grow and make a lasting difference from day one, we'd love to hear from you.
