Job Description

We are looking for a commercially minded People Operations Partner in the UK region, to help drive our business growth. As a people partner, you will provide strategic and operational support to help drive our business strategy. You will have commercial awareness, and use best practices when advising on people process’, employment law, employee relations, org structure and org design. Working location is flexible, you will be able to take a hybrid approach to the role, occasionally attending your local office when necessary for team or company meetings. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all people processes’, and be a key contact for your business area.

You will be detail oriented, people focused, and take a strategic approach to drive key initiatives in your area.

This role is a maternity leave cover and a fixed term contract which will last for 14 months.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively collaborates with key stakeholders to align people strategies with business goals to ensure capabilities and organisational structures are capable of delivering the overall business strategy. Assisting stakeholders with the development of organisational structures such as career mapping.
  • Key point of contact for all employee concerns, providing guidance and support for both managers and employees on all aspects of employee relations.
  • Take a commercially minded approach to handling complex ER cases, managing and overseeing the case, ensuring compliance with company policies and legislation to provide a resolution. Deals with problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned, and the collection and dissemination of relevant information.
  • Conduct market reviews for your org using salary benchmarking and performance reviews to best advise your stakeholders on compensation changes ensuring fairness and consistency across the business.
  • Working with the Development & Engagement Partner to understand key trends in the engagement survey data, to implement a creative engagement strategy and drive initiatives within your areas of responsibility.
  • Partner with the Talent Operations Partner and other key stakeholders to understand the market and competitors, taking ownership and accountability to actively feed this into the compensation and benefits strategy.
  • Guide managers on best practices for performance reviews, goal setting and feedback processes using Leapsome to drive a high-performance culture.
  • Provides guidance and makes suggestions to support individuals responsible for operational change management activities. Conduct readiness assessments to assess the size, nature and impact of organisational change. Creates change management frameworks for organisational changes that are a result of people projects. Takes a hands-on approach to implementing change and uses effective communication to ensure all impacted are well informed.
  • Identifies risks and vulnerabilities (e.g ER cases, single points of failure, flight risks, employment law changes, org structure) assesses impact and probability, develops mitigation strategies and reports to the People Ops Lead and key stakeholders.
  • Provide useful and insightful people data on your area to allow the team and key stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  • Championing clear and engaging communication with relevance.

Requirements

  • CIPD Level 5
  • Experience with sheets/excel
