Employee reviews

Qodea's employees have anonymously had their say in what they think of the company

The contract is hybrid but there's no expectation to show up at the office.

It's not (yet?) possible to be employed from anywhere in the world - only UK and Netherlands as of now. It's possible to work 3 months from another country. Maybe once something like remote.com is used it'll be possible.

Week is expected to consist of 80% billable hours - one day a week can be devoted to work-related but non-billable stuff (writing documentation, improving processes, designing wallpapers, etc.). Would be great it they truly embraced a 4-day workweek, but this a good step in the right direction.

There are "endless" vacation days, as long as the work is done and they are approved by a superior.

People are what make working for CloudM so great. Collaboration, help, and a friendly face are never far away. The technology we are assigned is mobile and the Google Workspace software we use is truly, collaborative which makes such a difference when working from anywhere, anytime, and on any device. The culture is one of try, fail, try again, and that alongside trustis what makes it so empowering to work here (at any level), and make a real difference in what we achieve together. This gives me great job satisfaction, which is what I look for when searching for an employer.

I love working at CloudM! I get to work with good people who like to work too! Everyone has a good demeanor and are very friendly and helpful. Working from home is a dream come true!

Since most are working remotely, more support for WFH equipment would definitely help in productivity etc.

Some form of bonus or incentives will encourage employees to thrive and stay.

I love the flexibility that CTS offers, and the fact that the company cares about more than just $$$. We have DEI, environment, charity and wellbeing boards who organise various events and learning opportunities for us. It just shows that CTS care about its staff and the world around us, not just the bottom line.

Trust & Autonomy are two aspects of my job I value highly. These two aspects are not only present, but lived every day. As long as the work is done, it doesn't matter when or where.

Best place I've worked. The culture and the people are amazing. Couldn't be happier and couldn't recommend enough.

My Company offers me such great flexibility. It s one of the key reasons for joining. There is no pressure.

We still have a great culture of meet-ups and kickoffs for times when people do want to get together but this is largely organic these days

I think CTS has always been on the front foot here. It was accelerated during the covid period of course, and since then there's been new offerings like working from anywhere which have built on it.

I see flexibility everywhere when I look across the teams.

As someone who has worked in both extremely rigid and very flexible environments, CTS is by far the best company I've worked for in terms of flexibility both on paper and culturally within the organisation. I do realise this varies by department, but the majority of employees enjoy flexibility in working hours, location and autonomy. Were we not client-facing, I expect this flexibility would be larger as we often work to client hours.

We have both an office in London and Manchester which is regularly used by different members of the team. CTS encourages teams and different teams to socialise and will actively promote events and socials.

At CTS I've found a supportive and nurturing environment where you get treated like a person and adult. For me, the culture was the reason I joined, and it is the reason I stay.

CTS is a great role model of flexible working and is also a B Corp that cares about the environment, diversity and does a lot of charity work. It's the best company I've ever worked for frankly!

Requests for flexible working are treated as a priority and my needs have been considered and accommodated in a way I've never experienced before.

We truly believe that happy employees work better and it's clear we try to create this as a culture.

The autonomy in where I can work and how I work is the best part of my job. I am not micromanaged, but trusted to get my work delivered on time from home

I love the flexibility - I can take an hour off for any doctor appointment, start earlier and extend my lunch break or finish earlier, according to my needs. I have a very supportive manager who encourages us to take a break if we don't feel well or someone's on their period. We don't have any requirements to go to the office - but we have monthly events and get togethers that make it a nice experience, even with a longer commute. I feel encouraged to learn and I'm given opportunities to try out new things - we all learn from each other a lot!

Fantastic working from home culture. I love the fact that when I came back from maternity leave the company were able to offer me condensed hours, so working full time over four days, as this really helped me with having a small child and still does.

Extremely flexible business with a great culture <3

Open and positive working culture, great people to work with and learn from, whilst having some fun doing it.

Being a working parent, I'm able to do the school run & log back on with no questions asked. As long as I am present during core hours and crack on to get the work done - Senior Management are very supportive towards balancing commitments at home.

Also we're strong believers of video calling and this helps us to keep well connected whilst working remotely.

Cloud Technology Solutions (CTS) have an amazing work culture that everyone in the business just runs with. This makes it easy for work to be done as it's really flexible in terms of time of work and not tied to any location. We just work in any place that we are comfortable in.

I couldn't be happier with the culture at CTS, I feel empowered, trusted and cared for, three little things that make a huge difference!

I love working at CloudM (CTS Group) the autonomy and flexibility here is much better than anywhere I have previously worked.

Work life balance is great, the benefits package could be better. The company events are very rare, for me this is essential to engage staff when we are now remote workers.

Absolutely love working for CTS. I have a little girl at school so work life balance is so important to me. I feel so lucky to have this here!

One of the best places to work.

One of my favourite things about CTS is the unlimited leave, along with the three months "work from anywhere" option. Allows me to take leave (business permitting) to spend time with the kids during holidays, and also allows me to be working from somewhere else if I can't take the time off. Great benefits!

CloudM is very flexible in work expectations for employees. If you have an family emergency or important personal appointment it is up to you to work around that so that you can still perform work activities to the best of your ability. I often work at night as I find that I can get more focus time and then have the flexibility to be able to go for a morning run if I don't have meetings scheduled.

I have the freedom to do this as I wish, as long as it does not impact my output and my working time is not micro-managed at all. My manager has trust in me and that ensures that I put the hours and maximum effort in when required.

I am lucky enough to work for a company that offers a very flexible and open environment.

CTS already offer a huge package of flexibility and have the right attitude towards work life balance.

I really couldn't ask for more flexibility in an employer.

The level of trust is intrinsic to the success of our organisation and it works. People know how to flex within their lives and are supported when things get tough personally.

I love working for CloudM - at it's core its a company that allows you to decide how best to complete your job (within reason), in a manner that suits your own life.

Best company I've ever worked for. So flexible and never struggle balancing work with life.

A great place to work!

Sometimes I feel when it is required we come into the office for a meeting, it actually could have been done from home so feels like a waste of time and money

This company is the most flexible place I have ever worked. Flexible hours, locations, unlimited paid leave, and dogs in the office. Fantastic.

CTS is really forward thinking in the majority of it's working policies, and is a fantastic place to work. The management team lead that culture and it permeates through the company

Love the flexibility it's the primary reason I came to work here.

I joined about 3 months ago. The flexibility was a strong attractor. I am finding it to be as stated, CTS is fully adopting a flexible approach.

Employees are trusted to make their own choices in how they work. As long as the work gets done, noone questions it.

This is the most flexible company I have ever worked for. I have felt fully supported when I went on mat leave, not only due to the great maternity package but also the flexible working package (condensed hours with fully flexible hours and remote working). We are trusted to do our jobs which helps staff flourish in their roles.

CTS has been a great shift for me after working close to 14 years in IT consulting. The company culture and policies resonate very well. Everyone at the company is very approachable and helpful. Time off is encouraged and work from anywhere in the world is just a blessing for people having family in other corners of the globe.

the culture and the people make this great place to work, more of the team coming together in an office space

Due to my personal circumstances, I wouldn't have been able to do the normal hours so I'm very grateful for the flexibility here.

I've never worked for a more flexible company before, CTS truly value our individuality, with unlimited holiday allowance and their work from anywhere for up to 3 months of the year policy, these are simply part of what makes it so incredible to be a part of their team.

Really flexible working, healthy working environment, lots of trust from the top down, no micromanagement

Great company to work for!

CTS really cares about their people. I couldn't tick any of the boxes of the previous question because CTS already offers it! It's about the quality of work, not the quantity of hours. And CTS gets that a good work-life balance creates happy and therefore productive employees.

Fantastically flexible company to work for.

fantastic place to work - extremely flexible and accommodating to a diverse set of needs and lifestyles

The relationship is built on trust, and it works well.

Best place to work!

For me, right now, cts has everything I need - sensible unlimited leave, work from home, core hours, compressed hours, grown-up flexibility, work from anywhere in the world for 90 days.

I'm the most relaxed about working hours and expectations I've ever been in my life.

CTS is a very flexible and easy going company to work for with an amazing work/life balance culture. The best, I love my job here!

About us

We help organisations to unlock the full potential of the latest digital technology.

As the largest Google Cloud-only digital consultancy in Europe, Qodea meets the fast-growing demand for seamless solutions across cloud security, data and analytics, and AI and automation. Our strategic consulting and best-in-class engineering offer one transformative Google experience that delivers real business impact.

With 400 experts and offices in the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium and Romania, we’re a certified B Corporation that takes pride in making a positive, sustainable difference in the world.

Flexible working at Qodea

Over the last 10+ years our open culture has been the backbone of our growth. We’ve nurtured an environment that empowers our people to get the job done. Meanwhile, we invest in their education, development, and - whether for family, mental health or other reasons - we give the flexibility to maintain a real work-life balance.

We work in a Hybrid way - meaning you decide where to work. Most teams can also choose their hours, though support teams tend to work in shifts.

Approach to diversity & inclusion

In 2021 we established our DEI strategy, focusing on meaningful inclusivity rather than ticking tokenistic boxes and chasing statistics. We created an internal DEI Board and rolled out DEI Workshops (attended by 73% of the workforce) which has stimulated conversation on important topics, and has helped to foster a culture of openness and inclusivity.

Our internal colleague satisfaction survey from July 2022 found that 94% of Qodea employees felt they could be themselves at work. Our DEI Board has been pivotal in rolling out some really positive initiatives - such as establishing gender neutral parental policies and increasing the length of paternity leave. This has contributed to attracting a diverse talent pool; 51% of our hires this year are from under-represented groups, which is well above the industry average.

What do we think of Qodea?

Qodea's employee feedback was exceptionally well received. The collective response showed that this organisation is wholly dedicated to providing a highly flexible working environment which will both attract the very best applicants and retain them.
