The role

We're looking for a Data Scientist with strong analytical skills and a passion for solving complex problems to join our team. You'll work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams, driving initiatives that unlock the power of our vast datasets. You'll have significant autonomy to design, build, and deploy models, develop measurement frameworks, and help influence decisions that directly impact our platform's capabilities and business strategy. Our data function supports multiple areas of the business, giving you exposure to diverse challenges while allowing you to develop deep expertise in specific domains based on your interests and business priorities.

What you’ll bring to the role

• Experience with or interest in working with human behavioral data, annotation/labeling systems, or projects involving human feedback for AI development and evaluation
• Experience building measurement systems and analytical frameworks, such as experimental design, causal inference methods, or multi-dimensional evaluation metrics
• Proficiency working with modern foundation models and understanding when to leverage them versus traditional ML approaches
• Solid software engineering fundamentals with expertise in Python/R, SQL, AI/ML frameworks, and the modern data science stack
• A toolkit spanning from classical statistical methods to state-of-the-art ML techniques, with knowledge of how to choose and apply the right tool for each unique problem
• Proven ability to effectively communicate with and influence stakeholders across the organization, from engineers to executives
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and balance speed with quality
• Strong prioritization skills, consistently focusing on high-impact work

What you’ll be doing in the role

• Develop and implement sophisticated models and algorithms that assess and improve the quality and integrity of our human data platform
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to identify opportunities where data science can drive product innovation and user value
• Synthesize complex analyses into actionable insights, presenting compelling data-driven narratives to influence strategic decisions
• Evaluate and implement cutting-edge data science methodologies and tools, ensuring the team stays at the forefront of the field
• Partner with data engineers to enhance data pipelines, logging systems, and MLOps practices, creating a robust foundation for advanced analytics and modeling
