Job Description

About Us

Since 2016, Patchwork Health has been on a mission to make truly flexible and sustainable working a reality for all healthcare staff. Their fully integrated workforce management solution helps optimise outcomes for organisations, managers, staff and patients alike. Built by a team of dedicated healthcare veterans, and co-created with the NHS, their technology and services have been embraced by over 100 healthcare sites to date.

Patchwork offers a range of different solutions, including temporary staff banks, which enable organisations to source temporary staff from their own pool of approved workers; ‘collaborative staff banks’, which help healthcare organisations team up with others in the same region to widen and share their temporary staffing pools; an innovative new rostering solution which enables more flexible, sustainable staffing for permanent healthcare staff; and an Agency Manager which makes it easier for managers to select appropriate temporary staff from external agencies when necessary. Patchwork Insights also provides managers with comprehensive data oversight, to monitor staffing trends, shift fill rates and pay rate escalations, and reliably plan ahead to prevent staffing gaps.

Patchwork Health has been recognised as HSJ’s 2022 Staffing Solution of the Year, and have recently received the prestigious HSJ Partnership Award and the Spectator’s Economic Innovator of the Year Award.

About the Role

As a GTM Engineer, you'll help build the systems, automations and AI-powered tools that enable Patchwork to scale its impact across the NHS. Working at the intersection of technology, data and commercial operations, you'll play an important role in helping our Revenue teams work more effectively, make better decisions and create greater value for customers.

This is a highly cross-functional role with a strong commercial focus. You'll work across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Revenue Operations, whilst collaborating closely with teams including Product, Engineering, Data, Customer Care and Finance.

You'll help design and improve the data models, workflows and AI-enabled solutions that underpin how we acquire customers, support existing accounts and scale our operations. From small experiments and rapid improvements through to larger multi-quarter initiatives, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and see the impact of your work first-hand.

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, building practical solutions and working across different areas of a business. You'll be comfortable navigating ambiguity, learning quickly and tackling a broad range of technical and commercial challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Enablement

  • Help build and maintain the systems that support new business acquisition by gathering, structuring and activating customer data across the Revenue organisation.
  • Develop tools, automations and AI-powered workflows that help deliver more relevant and targeted marketing, sales and customer success activity.
  • Support the creation of a more complete, data-driven understanding of customer health by combining information from multiple sources and surfacing actionable insights.
  • Help identify opportunities to use AI and automation to proactively highlight customer risks, recommend actions and improve decision-making across Customer Success.

Revenue Operations & Automation

  • Build and improve automations that remove manual, repetitive work from Revenue teams, enabling colleagues to spend more time on high-value activities.
  • Help develop AI-powered tools and agents that improve efficiency and outputs across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Revenue Operations.
  • Measure the adoption and impact of the tools you build, using data and feedback to continuously improve them.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Patchwork's products, customers and commercial model, using this knowledge to identify opportunities for improvement.

Revenue Systems & Data

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of our CRM ecosystem, helping improve data quality, reporting capabilities, workflows and user experience.
  • Build and maintain integrations across our commercial technology stack, connecting systems and ensuring data flows effectively between tools.
  • Help shape scalable data models and processes that enable the business to make better use of data across the customer lifecycle.

Requirements

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience working with programming languages, databases and related technical systems.
  • Practical experience building solutions that utilise Large Language Model (LLM) APIs, with the ability to confidently discuss prompt engineering, latency considerations and token consumption.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity regarding business operations, commercial processes and revenue-generating functions.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving and systems-thinking capabilities, with the ability to analyse complex challenges and identify effective solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a high degree of comfort working with quantitative data and analysis.
  • Ability and passion to work in a fast-paced scale-up team environment, embracing its challenges and opportunities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with CRM platforms, particularly HubSpot.
  • Exposure to a B2B or Enterprise SaaS environment.
  • Experience using automation platforms such as n8n, Make or Zapier.
  • Experience working with AI tools and technologies.
  • Experience within healthcare, HealthTech or the NHS.
  • Exposure to workforce management or workforce technology products.
  • Experience working within a technology start-up or scale-up environment.
