Job Description

The Role

We’re looking for a passionate and talented Junior Creative to join our brilliant Marketing team at Not On The High Street for a 6 month fixed-term contract.
You’ll be ambitious and organised with a contagious enthusiasm for design and creativity. You'll be able to help brainstorm creative and design ideas and then bring them to life across a range of digital channels (social media, Youtube, email/CRM, site/app). Reporting to the Creative Manager, you’ll work on projects from initial concept to final execution, ensuring attention to detail.
This position requires a basic understanding of design and creativity for digital marketing, including mobile-first design principles. It’s an excellent chance to enhance your digital graphic design, motion and art direction skills in a practical setting, benefiting from guidance and mentorship from experienced team members. You will report to the Creative Manager and collaborate closely with creatives, copywriters, producers, and specialists from Marketing, Commercial, and Product teams to infuse creativity into the entire customer journey.
We’re looking for someone who loves retail, collaboration and innovation. You may be a recent graduate or have a year or two of experience under your belt already. We’re open to candidates from both in-house and agency environments.

Accountabilities

  • Create designs and creative ideas in response to briefs and assist the team in executing through to delivery.
  • Design to our brand guidelines, ensuring visual consistency of our identity across customer touchpoints.
  • Support the Creative Manager in the planning and execution of our creative shoots; creating both images and video content for our campaigns.
  • Collaborate with our copy, production, commercial and product teams to create exciting new design ideas and content for our social channels, CRM programme, website and app.
  • Create design assets for campaigns, both in static and motion digital formats.
  • Confidently share your creative ideas and design rationale with the team.
  • Proactively identify creative ideas to drive trade across our customer journey.
  • Keep up to date with creative and design industry trends, standards, innovation and best-practice.

Some key skills and experience you’ll need...

Who you are:

  • A hybrid creative, interested in both design and art direction with a great portfolio of ideas and executions across a range of digital channels.
  • Organised, ambitious with natural creative flair and an eagerness to learn; looking for a collaborative, creative environment to develop your skills and learn from others.
  • Passionate about small businesses and the creative community behind them.

Technical skills:

  • Good creative technical skills; you’ll have a developing understanding of Figma, the Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
  • Able to create design assets in both static and motion.
  • Confident in using the Google Suite (Gmail, Slides, Docs, Drive).

Human skills:

  • Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative thinker able to generate innovative ideas and are naturally positive.
  • Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills.
  • Great team player, supportive and empathetic.
  • Naturally motivated to share creativity and brimming with ideas, always there to take part.
