About the role
Due to an internal promotion, we’re seeking a Risk Analyst - Corporate Insurance to join our Enterprise Risk Management Team within the Risk Division. You’ll have responsibility for a variety of tasks focused on ensuring NFU Mutual purchase, and manage, an appropriate insurance programme that balances risk, value for money and the needs of the business.
You’ll manage the day-to-day activities and be the first point of contact to the business for queries, advice and claims across a board portfolio of insurance policies, including property, motor, professional indemnity, directors’ and officers’ and cyber’. You’ll play a crucial part in collating, analysing, monitoring, and reporting data and management information, to inform business decision making, ensuring high-quality information is shared with brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders. You’ll provide critical insight and information to coordinate claims, mid-term adjustments and renewals.
As a Risk Analyst - Corporate Insurance, you will have a good understanding of insurance products particularly those that we purchase, and the risks of the business, to provide assurance or identify gaps and recommend solutions. You’ll have a strong understanding of how risks arise in practice. This will involve fact-finding, constructively challenging assumptions and helping determine whether risks should be transferred through insurance or managed internally, in line with risk appetite. You’ll develop and maintain an understanding of the external insurance market, including claims experience, market conditions and new products through your relationships within the business and external network.
As part of a small, knowledgeable team, you’ll be involved in a wide range of activity. This includes interpreting and explaining policy wordings, supporting other areas of the business that purchase insurance, and preparing presentations and reports for senior stakeholders. You’ll take ownership of specific tasks, contribute to team priorities, and identify opportunities for improvement or project work.
This role offers exposure to a variety of business areas, information and tasks allowing you to make a real difference to the success of our organisation.
This role is based in our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon. To support with your induction and onboarding, you’ll be in the office for 40% - 60% of your hours. However, we understand how important a positive work-life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support to work up to 80% of your hours from home.

About you
You already have experience working within insurance, whether developed in a similar Risk role, or areas such as underwriting, claims or broking (essential). You enjoy using your judgement and curiosity to understand risk and support better decision making. Comfortable working with data and information, you’re confident turning insight into clear, meaningful outputs for a range of stakeholders and taking ownership of your work from start to finish.
To succeed in this role, you’ll also bring:
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint to analyse, present and share information clearly - Essential
- The ability to think pragmatically, approaching problems in a logical and structured way
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to convey complex information clearly
- A proactive and inquisitive mindset, with the initiative to identify opportunities and address issues early
- A high level of accountability, taking responsibility for your decisions and delivering on commitments
