Project Manager
About the role
This is a 12-month fixed term opportunity to join NFU Mutual as a Project Manager within our technology change portfolio. You will work across all business areas, taking ownership of varied projects rather than focusing on one specialist area.
You will manage two to three projects at the same time, guiding each through inception, business case, delivery and closure. Projects may include infrastructure, sales, agency or bespoke business change, with budgets of up to £5 million. You will define scope and outcomes, build effective project teams, and keep delivery on track across quality, cost and timescales.
Working with sponsors, business leads, delivery teams and suppliers, you will provide clear governance and reporting, manage resources and finances, and maintain control of risks, issues and dependencies. You will also support effective decisions and communications so that each project delivers its agreed business outcomes.
You will join a team of around eight Project Managers who meet fortnightly to share delivery challenges and support one another. This role suits an experienced Project Manager who is comfortable managing their own diary and project lifecycle with minimal supervision, while escalating when needed.
This role is based in our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford Upon Avon. However, we understand how important a positive work life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support to work up to 80% of your hours from home.
About you
You are an experienced and accountable Project Manager who communicates clearly, builds trusted relationships and brings people together around shared outcomes. You influence with confidence, make sound decisions and remain resilient when priorities or delivery challenges change. Your approachable and collaborative style helps you work effectively with sponsors, business teams and external partners.
