About the role
This 12 month fixed term contract is an opportunity to join NFU Mutual as a Personal Assistant within Customer Service supporting senior leadership in a high-profile transformation programme environment. The role has arisen as a result of the current incumbent having secured a secondment to a more senior business change role partly enabled by the exposure and experience gained in this role. You’ll provide effective, efficient and confidential secretarial and administrative support to a busy senior leader and the wider department.
You’ll play an important part in keeping work organised, well coordinated and on track. Your role will include managing diaries and inboxes, coordinating complex meetings, workshops and events, preparing accurate documents and records, and supporting governance, readiness and programme related activity.
You’ll also act as a key point of contact across a wide stakeholder network, handling confidential information and sensitive people matters appropriately. It’s a varied role where your organisation, communication and attention to detail will help senior leaders and colleagues work effectively.
This role is based in our Stratford upon Avon office. However, we understand how important a positive work life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support to work up to 80% of your hours from home.

You’re an organised and dependable professional who takes accountability for your work and communicates clearly with a wide range of people. You can prioritise effectively, solve problems calmly, collaborate with others and use your initiative to keep activity moving. You handle confidential information with care and bring a supportive, professional approach to every interaction.
To join NFU Mutual, you’ll also bring
- Strong Copilot prompting and Microsoft Office and skills across Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across different teams and levels
- Previous Personal Assistant, executive support, administration or secretarial experience
- Experience managing diaries, meetings and stakeholder communications
- Desirable experience taking minutes, tracking actions and using document management tools e.g Sharepoint
- Desirable experience supporting senior leaders in programme, project or change environments
