What you will do:

As a Product Manager, you will lead new product development particularly during the concept and capture stages for smart water projects within NZ. You’ll need lots of energy, a great attitude and passion for world-class products.

You will shape products by collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to align technology with market needs, ensuring maximum commercial impact

What you will contribute to the team.

  • Understanding Client's Challenges and Building Trust: Understand clients' primary challenges and establish yourself as a trusted technical expert on the solutions that address these challenges. By demonstrating your expertise and providing valuable insights, you can build strong relationships and foster trust with your clients.
  • Delivering a market leading product management capability, established both by doing and developing the wider team.
  • Ensuring ongoing quality and continuous improvement within our product visions, strategies and roadmaps in the context of broader organisational strategies and goals.
  • Translating product strategy into communicable roadmaps and deliberate development actions to achieve our vision, “engineering innovation on demand”.
  • Driving projects, products, and feature launches with teams both inside and outside of the team including business development, content acquisition, legal, marketing, finance, customer service, and operations.

About you:

You will be a strategic thinker with the ability to execute a strategy and develop business with clients, supported by the wider Mott MacDonald team.

We are looking for a product manager with a relevant qualification or experience in engineering and software, with product management certification or experience. We are looking for a person with a strong customer-centric perspective, that focuses on great outcomes and whole-life value.

Having knowledge of the latest trends platform application services and more generally across digital and technology would be an excellent skillset to bring, along with your passion for delivering digital solutions across social, environmental and economic issues.

You will also have:

  • Proven experience as a product manager, with commercial experience working on software products. .
  • Experience in product strategy development and implementation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of product discovery, validation and delivery.
  • Demonstrated success in launching digital products and services to market while onboarding clients.
