Overview of role

The Information Security Learning and Development Specialist is a key contributor to our organisation’s information security programme. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training programs that enhance employees’ understanding of information security policies, procedures, and best practices.

The role will ensure the required training needs of the business are understood and translated into learning solutions that use a range of media to meet those needs.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with both Group and Regional information security teams to define, develop and tailor training information security programs based on regional business needs
  • Collaborate with both Group and Regional information security teams to define and build metrics and reporting on adoption of key systems and solutions
  • Ensure that training content aligns with organisational changes and security needs.
  • Develop/review/update induction training programs for new staff, emphasising security awareness and compliance.
  • Collaborate with our external training resource provider to tailor training content and to manage training performance metrics from the external platform.
  • Collaborate with our internal Learning and Development Business Partner and Regional IT & Security Managers to evaluate training effectiveness
  • Facilitate bespoke training courses tailored to organisational needs
  • Conduct capability assessments across the organisation to identify skill gaps.
  • Use assessment results to inform training priorities
  • Analyse training statistics and provide meaningful insights.
  • Support stakeholders with data-driven recommendations
  • Develop customised learning pathways for different job families and roles.
  • Assist in creating skills matrixes aligned with security competencies


Essential:

  • Relevant experience in learning and development, preferably with a focus on information security
  • Proven experience with collaboration; strong cross-functional influencing skills & teamwork
  • Proactive, analytical, and strategic approach to learning; with ability to work at both high level and detailed levels as required
  • Good presence to work at all levels of the organisation; strong communicator verbally and in writing with the ability to work across departments, a variety of audiences and cultures
  • Strong influence and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and confidential information

  • An understanding of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Decision making skills; creative and persistent problem solver
  • Proactive self-starter, self-directed and driven to excellence in all aspects of role
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills
