Overview of role
Mott MacDonald strives to build processes and policies that ensure a consistent and fair approach to reward and benefits across the group. As part of enhancing our capability and ability to remain competitive in our chosen marketers we are seeking a Reward & Benefits advisor to support on all day-to-day aspects of the employee reward and benefit programmes.

The Reward & Benefits advisor will form part of the HR community, and work closely with the Reward Manager, Reward Centre of Excellence, as well as the Regional HR teams to deliver compensation and benefit support across the UK and Europe.

As well as acting as the first point of contact for queries related to reward, benefits, and compensation, the Reward & Benefits advisor will help to deliver the cyclical activities in region, support and advise HR teams and managers on all relevant matters and best practice whilst ensuring regional compliance with global frameworks, governance, and policies.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead on benefit process and administration including the annual enrolment and benefit renewals and support in key annual reward processes including salary and bonus reviews
  • Build relationships with appointed benefit/insurance vendors and brokers
  • Drive employee awareness and understanding of all reward and benefit programs, including development of communication
  • Manage the group income protection scheme
  • Review benefit related documentation and templates to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with participation in salary and benefit surveys, including completion and submission, data collection and analysis to evaluate and make recommendations where appropriate.
  • Support the reward manager in analysing data/feedback to identify trends, gaps, opportunities for improvement
  • Continually analyse current administration processes and suggest improvements to enhance the overall employee and administrative experience
  • Work closely with key stakeholders including, but not limited to, the HR Shared services, People Systems team, payroll and external third parties
  • Work closely with the wellbeing team on enhancing the wellbeing campaigns by communicating the relevant benefits available
  • Assist with monthly payroll and benefit reconciliations
  • Assist with tax year-end in line with HMRC reporting requirements, including P11D’s
  • Reviewing monthly reports to ensure compliance with National Minimum Wage and Living Wage
  • Providing support on a range of ad-hoc reward and benefits projects
  • Maintain an awareness of market information on current and future reward and benefit developments including those arising as a result of legislative changes and legal requirements

Candidate specification:
The Reward & Benefits Advisor will ideally be CIPD qualified with previous experience in a Reward/benefits role.

  • Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • Strong organisational capability, ability to meet deadlines, prioritise, be accurate and able to manage large volumes of work
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm with a professional and positive approach
  • Ability to be proactive and think ahead
  • Solid data, reporting and analytical experience and be able to manipulate and present data for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience of using a range of MS office packages and HR database systems
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data.
  • Willingness to deliver presentations and training as needed
