Following a transformative 2025 with our recent brand refresh and the launch of our new creative platform ‘It’s not magic. It’s Motorway’, we are seeking a talented Social Media Executive & Content Creator to play a vital role in developing our social narrative and taking it to new audiences.
In this role, you’ll be instrumental in shaping our social media presence by generating innovative content ideas and producing thumb-stopping content on a daily basis. You’ll leverage your strong knowledge of social media trends, fluency in memes and trending sounds to plan content, execute reactive ideas quickly and build a consistent, always-on brand presence.
You’ll join our growing Content and Social team - reporting to the Senior Social Media Manager and collaborating closely with the Head of Creative and creative teams to generate fresh ideas, and platform-optimised content that positions Motorway as the go-to-platform for car ownership and selling.

What You’ll Do
Plan, script, shoot and produce high-quality social media content (both video and static) that’s platform ready.
Constantly pitch fresh, engaging social-first ideas that align with our social strategy and content pillars.
Develop repeatable formats and content franchises that unpack our proposition and deliver key and consistent takeaways.
Work closely with the Senior Social Media Manager to maintain and execute Motorway’s proactive publishing schedule.
Develop reactive content, responding to real-time conversations and cultural moments.
Support community management efforts to generate and leverage engagement opportunities.
Stay ahead of social media trends, platform updates and cultural conversations to ensure our content remains innovative and relevant.
Analyse social media performance, supporting regular reporting on key metrics (reach, engagement etc.) and use data-driven insights to constantly experiment and adapt.
Collaborate on multi-channel organic campaigns with external agencies where required.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in creating video and graphic content (brand, agency or creator background) - we’ll be looking to see a portfolio that showcases your work.
Strong video production and editing skills (experience with tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects or similar) and in-app creator tools.
Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva or Figma.
Understanding of social-first design principles, including optimising content for different formats and platforms.
A natural storyteller with a strong understanding of social media trends, audience behaviour and best practices.
Excellent copywriting and script-writing skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
Confidence in front of the camera and involving others in content creation.
Comfortable with presenting work to key stakeholders.
Ability to create motion graphics (GIFs, animated social posts) is a plus.

Final Loop:
Task presentation with Senior Social Media Manager and Brand Marketing Manager (60 mins)
Culture fit interview with Director of Brand (30 mins)
