Job Description

SENIOR SEO MANAGER

ABOUT US

Every day, we push beyond expectations to help millions of people save money, at a time when it’s never mattered more. Through MoneySuperMarket, MoneySavingExpert, Quidco and our B2B partnerships we supply products to more than 24 million unique monthly visitors, helping UK households to save billions of pounds a year. Can you tell this is something we’re exceptionally proud of!

Creative, collaborative, ambitious – it’s hard work. But what makes it worth it? Leaving work knowing we’ve made a difference to our customers, users, and to each other.

Put our distinct brands together with our dedicated colleagues and you’ve got a workplace with lots of personality. We’re open-minded, diverse, and love our differences. Everyone plays a part, and comes together to work hard, go beyond, and make sure everyone feels they belong.

MoneySuperMarket is recruiting an experienced SEO Manager to join our wider organic marketing team, supporting the continued growth of our organic visibility across search platforms

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You’ll work closely with the SEO Lead to deliver against budgeted performance and wider business objectives, owning strategy while remaining close to execution.

This is a highly collaborative role, spanning content, digital PR, data, product and commercial teams, with responsibility for identifying opportunities, shaping initiatives, and ensuring they land effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scoping, developing and implementing content-led and product-led SEO initiatives, from insight through to delivery.

  • Using first- and third-party data to identify, prioritise and size commercial organic opportunities.

  • Partnering with the Content team to inform what content should be updated, created or iterated, and why - managing the full content lifecycle from ideation to optimisation.

  • Working closely with PR teams and external digital PR agencies to:

- Assess our organic and off-site position versus competitors

- Identify link and citation gaps

- Shape campaigns that support backlink growth, brand mentions and AI

search visibility

- Manage community engagement

  • Leading and contributing to AI search experimentation, including testing on-page and off-page factors that influence visibility in AI-driven search experiences.

  • Collaborating with Data teams to request and define datasets that enhance content performance, support PR narratives, and improve reporting.

  • Working with Product and Engineering to influence and help deliver on-page features and enhancements that improve organic performance.

  • Partnering with Commercial teams to share organic performance, explain drivers of change, and align on wider macro or market factors impacting results.

  • Supporting relationships with external commercial partners where organic performance is a shared lever.

  • Owning regular performance reporting and trade updates, ensuring stakeholders understand impact, progress and opportunity.

  • Championing SEO best practice through knowledge sharing, training and evangelism across the business.

  • Staying up to date with SEO, digital PR and search trends, adopting new technologies and approaches where they provide a competitive edge.

Organic search plays a critical role in MoneySuperMarket’s growth, and you’ll join a business that actively champions SEO and invests in getting it right.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

Tooling and platform experience

You’ll be comfortable using a broad SEO and analytics toolset to inform decisions and measure impact. Experience with the following is expected or beneficial:

  • Search and analytics: Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA), Tableau

  • SEO and competitive intelligence: Ahrefs, SimilarWeb, SEO Clarity

  • Technical SEO: Screaming Frog, Lumar

  • Content and trends: Google Trends, Contentful or similar CMS

You don’t need to be an expert in every tool, but you should be confident selecting the right ones to answer commercial and performance questions.

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience delivering meaningful organic growth in large or complex digital environments, ideally within the UK or European markets.

  • Strong understanding of all core elements of SEO, including on-page, off-page, technical, content and strategy.

  • Comfortable operating at both a strategic and executional level, able to move from insight to action.

  • Data-led and commercially minded, able to build credible plans backed by evidence and clear prioritisation.

  • Experience collaborating with PR teams and agencies to drive off-site performance. Hands-on digital PR experience is favourable.

  • Experience working with product and engineering teams, including shaping requirements and justifying SEO-driven initiatives.

  • Experience working with data teams to improve reporting, datasets or insight generation.

  • Awareness of AI-driven search developments, with experience monitoring impact and actively testing approaches.

  • Some light technical SEO knowledge, such as crawling, rendering and indexing, is helpful, though this is not a deeply technical role.

  • Knowledge of insurance or financial services is favourable but not essential.

  • In-house SEO experience is preferred but not essential.

  • Pension up to 6% employer contribution
