Job Description

HEAD OF COMMERCIAL – Quidco

ABOUT US

Every day, we push beyond expectations to help millions of people save money, at a time when it’s never mattered more. Through MoneySuperMarket, MoneySavingExpert, Quidco and our B2B partnerships we supply products to more than 24 million unique monthly visitors, helping UK households to save billions of pounds a year. Can you tell this is something we’re exceptionally proud of!

Creative, collaborative, ambitious – it’s hard work. But what makes it worth it? Leaving work knowing we’ve made a difference to our customers, users, and to each other.

Put our distinct brands together with our dedicated colleagues and you’ve got a workplace with lots of personality. We’re open-minded, diverse, and love our differences. Everyone plays a part, and comes together to work hard, go beyond, and make sure everyone feels they belong.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Quidco Commercial Team sits at the centre of Quidco.com, connecting members with merchants and propositions that deliver compelling value while driving sustainable commercial growth. The team manages relationships across cashback, voucher codes, gift cards and closed user group propositions, working with established household brands and emerging merchants to create a market-leading customer offer.

This is a senior operational and strategic leadership position responsible for the day-to-day commercial performance of Quidco.com and for shaping the longer-term commercial strategy. The Head of Commercial will lead a team of Commercial Managers, each with clear individual performance targets, and create a disciplined trading cadence focused on Net Tracked Commission, Tenancy Sales, market-leading offers and profitable growth.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Key Delivery Objectives

  • Provide visible leadership and direction for the Quidco.com Commercial Team, setting clear priorities, standards and accountability.
  • Own and drive the Quidco commercial strategy, ensuring alignment with the wider Quidco and MONY Group strategy.
  • Deliver the commercial plan and agreed performance targets, with particular focus on Net Tracked Commission, Tenancy Sales, market-leading offers, and profitability.
  • Establish a rigorous daily, weekly and monthly trading cadence that identifies performance gaps, commercial opportunities and clear actions.
  • Ensure Quidco maintains a strong and competitive merchant proposition across Cashback, Voucher Codes, Gift Cards and Closed User Group merchants.
  • Lead the sourcing, negotiation and delivery of compelling, differentiated and exclusive merchant offers that strengthen member value and commercial performance.
  • Own the commercial performance of tenancy and other non-transactional income streams, ensuring growth is sustainable, measurable and appropriately governed.
  • Manage, coach and motivate a team of Commercial Managers who are individually targeted on performance, ensuring each colleague has clear accountabilities, measurable objectives and effective performance plans.
  • Hold Commercial Managers accountable for merchant-level and portfolio-level outcomes, including growth plans, offer quality, commercial yield, campaign delivery and relationship development.
  • Maintain and deepen relationships with key merchant decision-makers and influencers, using those relationships to unlock improved commercials, investment and member propositions.
  • Own the strategy and delivery plan for key merchant negotiations, renewals and commercial resets, working with senior stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Use data and insight to monitor and act on commercial KPIs, ensuring the team takes a consistent, evidence-led approach to decisions and prioritisation.
  • Work closely with Trading, Merchandising, Product, Marketing, CRM, Data, Finance, Technology, Legal, Risk and Compliance to maximise the value of Quidco traffic, members and merchant relationships.
  • Ensure commercial activities, merchant onboarding, codes, rates, campaigns and operational processes are delivered accurately and in line with agreed service levels and controls.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Be a commercially driven leader with a strong record of delivering revenue, profitability and customer value in a digital, retail, marketplace, affiliate or ecommerce environment.
  • Have proven experience of leading, managing and developing commercially targeted teams, including setting individual objectives and addressing underperformance.
  • Be confident using data to diagnose performance, prioritise action and hold teams accountable for measurable outcomes.
  • Have strong negotiation, contracting and relationship-management capability, with experience of securing improved commercials, investment and differentiated propositions.
  • Understand digital trading and performance levers, ideally including cashback, affiliate marketing, voucher codes, gift cards, merchant-funded offers or closed user groups.
  • Be comfortable balancing strategic development with hands-on operational delivery and detailed performance management.
  • Be able to communicate a clear commercial vision and influence stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with merchant partners, networks, agencies and colleagues.
  • Be highly organised, deadline-driven and disciplined in reporting, governance and follow-through.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, challenge constructively and make clear decisions when priorities compete.
  • Demonstrate a practical, action-oriented approach and a willingness to intervene directly where required to deliver results.

WHAT REWARDS ARE ON OFFER

  • Up to 27 holidays + bank holidays
  • Pension up to 6% employer contribution
  • Bonus scheme
  • Digital Doctor on demand
  • Work from anywhere scheme – 2 weeks per year
  • Financial coaching
  • Mental health platform access
