Job Description

Are You Ready to Make An Impact?

Grenade is an international active nutrition and lifestyle brand, which has grown rapidly since its launch in 2010. Driven by its strong branding, distinctive products, and highly innovative approach, Grenade has made an explosive impact in the FMCG Industry.

A key role within the operations team, you will be the first point of contact in the business and the resident expert in import/export compliance and the requirements to sell our food and supplement products around the world.

No day is the same and you need to be on your toes to ensure that when we come up with a fantastic new idea, like opening a new market on the other side of the world, we can ‘Get IT Done’ at lightning-fast speed! Plenty of fun, lots of interesting projects and a great bunch of passionate people.

You will be the subject matter expert in your area of operations and the first point of escalation of any issue related to food export compliance. You will strive to deliver superior service for both our internal and external customers; by developing the tools you need to monitor performance and identify improved ways of working.

Joining Grenade’s high-performing team, during this period of growth and brand expansion, promises to offer a unique and motivating working environment, with highly rewarding opportunities for personal and professional development.

How you will contribute

  • Supporting and advising the customer service and logistics export team on the requirements of compliance for import and export shipments between the UK, The Netherlands, and the Rest of the World.

  • Train new members of staff on export procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Ensuring supply chain maps are in place for all products of animal origin, are accurate and are maintained.
  • Full ownership of technical shipping document compliance, including but not limited to: Certificates of Free Sale & Health Certificates. This extends to liaising directly with customers in certain instances as well as the relevant authorities within various international territories.
  • Identify trade restrictions and legislation applicable to exports that may impact the business and brief key stakeholders.
  • Assist with commodity codes, restricted countries & classification of Harmonised Tariff Schedules (HTS) & Harmonised Schedule (HS) codes.
  • Registration of products in international territories prior to export sales commencing.
  • Take ownership of managing and overseeing projects
  • Once a product is in-country, supporting international customers with the completion of technical documents for product listings in newly won business.
  • Owning the registration tracker, making this available to wider teams. A key element of the role is communication across international Sales & Marketing teams to ensure business alignment.
  • Continuous improvement of your area of operations, get the ideas from across the team and business, articulate and implement them.

What you will bring

  • Experience within a food export/compliance role.
  • Knowledge of Dutch regulations is essential.
  • Ensuring accuracy in documentation and communication.
  • Organisational skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Driven by facts and confident enough to challenge up.
