Reefer Sales Executive – Cold Store Netherlands
Are you a natural hunter with strong knowledge of cold chain logistics and the drive to grow our presence in the Dutch market? Join Maersk and help accelerate the expansion of our Cold Store Netherlands – a key import-oriented hub in Northern Europe.
This role is ideal for someone energetic, commercially curious, and excited to build new customer relationships. Whether you come from sales or have a strong operational background in reefer or cold storage, this is your opportunity to step into a customer‑facing role with significant impact.
About the Role
As a Reefer Sales Executive, you will be on the frontline of commercial growth, converting Contract Logistics opportunities into Cold Store volume and revenue. You will engage directly with importers and exporters in fresh produce, protein, and fish, positioning Maersk’s Cold Store Netherlands as the preferred European destination for Latin American, Indian, and South African cargo.
This is a high‑energy, growth‑oriented role where you will help shape our end‑to‑end cold chain solutions and strengthen Maersk’s footprint in the Dutch market.
What You’ll Do
- Proactively hunt for new business opportunities for our Cold Store solutions.
- Identify, qualify, and convert prospects into long-term customers.
- Build tailored value propositions based on customer needs and cold chain capabilities.
- Position our Cold Store as a strategic import hub for key global trade lanes.
- Engage with importers/exporters across fresh produce, protein, fish, and other temperature‑controlled segments.
- Lead the process from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and contract closure.
- Develop pricing proposals and manage commercial terms.
- Ensure a seamless handover to Operations and Account Management teams.
- Build strategic accounts and long-term partnerships.
- Understand customer pain points and design solutions with our Product and Operations teams.
- Monitor customer performance during onboarding and drive early success.
- Promote Maersk’s integrated cold chain offerings (reefer trucking, customs brokerage, cold storage, warehousing, and more).
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in reefer sales, cold store operations.
- High energy, proactive approach, and strong motivation to chase new opportunities.
- Confidence in approaching customers and building early commercial relationships.
- Understanding of reefer cargo, cold storage operations, customer requirements, and end-to-end cold chain logistics.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.
