To do that, we need to help our customers become more productive, to get more from their data, and to digitise processes to free up time for their people to offer fantastic services, care and compassion to those citizens who need it the most.

To help our customers achieve this, Microsoft have a broad family of resources who bring diverse perspectives to our customers. Building alliances with varying stakeholders at our customer to support their Digital journey. The Account Executive plays a crucial role in building long lasting relationships with Chief Executives, Chief Digital and Data Officers, Chief Information Officers and other key business decision makers inspiring them to think differently about the opportunity presented by technology and the age of Generative AI.

We are currently looking for a Account Executive to lead our South West business on their individual and collective digital journeys. Embracing a challenger mindset, the successful candidate will orchestrate and lead their virtual teams and close opportunities with customers that will produce transformative business outcomes across a diverse mix of publics sector and private sector entities. The ambitions and challenges for customers are significant and the opportunity to transform and make an impact here has never been greater.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Customer Engagement: You will have a full understanding of customer's business needs, priorities, strategies, & deliver new insights on their business strategy to educate them on ways to address them jointly. Show long-term differentiated value for the customer. You will also have to proactively elevate relationships through multiple levels of the customer's organization to secure alignment and execution. You will always consider the ‘bigger picture’ for your customers, with the ability to absorb information, and be conceptual and creative in problem-solving excellence.
  • Business Relationship Owner: You will be responsible for defining the strategic vision and leading the transformation with the customer’s CxO level Technology, Digital and Business Decision Makers (BDM). This requires leadership skills and ability to challenge conventional thinking. Success will come through achieving our customer’s success.
  • Team Mobiliser and Orchestrator: You will need to learn how to navigate Microsoft, work across functions, and the eco-system, understand the systems – all to maximise the value to your customer. From exec sponsors to product experts & commercial leaders, you will need to be resourceful to ensure your customer is getting the full support across the organisation.
  • Sales Leader and Operational Excellence: Achieving results by understanding digital transformation drivers and customer priorities. Identifying new opportunities and helping customers accelerate their move to the digital age for their own benefit as well as their customers and stakeholders. Delivering consistent, repeatable achievement of revenue and consumption targets
  • Sales Challenger: Continuously building industry and technical knowledge. Bringing innovative industry solutions, benchmarks and references to C-level executives that drive greater efficiencies, optimization and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Strong Communicator: You will be able to articulate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical, and impactful manner.
  • Inclusive Leader: With strong interpersonal skills you will create an inclusive culture within your team that embraces diversity and reflects our mission to empower every person and organisation on the planet to achieve more. You will have the ability to easily establish trust-based relationships and gain valuable insights through collaboration and communication with your customer and your team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Experience in selling Cloud services, with a proven track record of success.

Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop new business, and manage territory-level opportunities.

Experience engaging with mid-to-senior level executives and influencing strategic decisions.

Ability to work effectively and inclusively with local and remote teams and partners.

Technical acumen to engage in solution conversations and drive value-based outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Have a passion for working in AI-led business transformation that delivers both short and long term impact.

Direct experience of working within Local Government or providing services to the industry.

Passion for technology-led business transformation.

Strong communication and storytelling skills.

Strategic thinker with a growth mindset and resilience in the face of ambiguity.Inclusive leadership style that fosters collaboration and diversity

.Experience working in a global, matrixed environment.

Account Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across United Kingdom is £ 95,300.00 - £ 136,100.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
