Are you a finance leader who thrives on partnering with the business to drive strategic value? We’re excited to offer an opportunity to join Merlin in the Gateway Birmingham and Rest of UK division as a Senior Finance Business Partner - a critical leadership role supporting some of Merlin’s most iconic attractions.

You’ll work at the heart of the business, supporting senior leaders and collaborating cross-functionally to shape financial strategy, optimise performance and champion continuous improvement.

This is a fixed-term role, with flexibility on location within the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Strategic Business Partnering: Act as a key financial adviser to senior leadership, providing insight to guide decision-making and drive long-term success.

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting and forecasting for the attraction, delivering robust analysis and scenario modelling to support business goals.

  • Collaboration & Commercial Insight: Partner with department heads across Operations, Marketing and the people team to influence commercial strategy, optimise profitability, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Performance Reporting: Prepare high-quality reporting and dashboards that tell the story behind the numbers, helping drive accountability and transparency.

  • Operational Excellence: Promote financial best practice, streamline processes and support automation and innovation in reporting.

  • Regional & Group Collaboration: Work closely with the Finance Director – Attractions, regional finance teams and Centres of Excellence to align on best practice and unlock value across the wider UK portfolio.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience.
  • Proven success in a finance business partnering role within a large, complex organisation—ideally hospitality, entertainment, or leisure.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the confidence to influence and challenge at senior levels.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, with deep experience in financial modelling, planning and forecasting.
  • A proactive mindset, able to identify opportunities, solve problems and drive improvements.
