Finance Systems Senior Technician

Location: London/Hybrid

Hours: 40 hours per week

Contract: Permanent - Salaried

The Senior Finance Systems Functional Lead is essential in supporting our global projects and customers by aiding and designing solutions that align with our governance and service levels. This role involves assessing the impacts of upgrades and enhancements and ensuring that testing is performed using a risk-based approach.

Responsibilities:

• Lead our global projects as our functional lead on solution design
• Drive and deliver robust solutions, encompassing the impact of ongoing maintenance, in line with our governance.
• Oversee the implementation of our new finance systems by developing and testing effective solutions.
• Manage the impact of changes and upgrades to our testing lead.
• Lead as 3rd line support for our finance customers and provide cover for the support desk when team members are on leave.
• Monitor and support the day-to-day performance of finance platforms, identifying areas for improvement and implementing system enhancements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to finance systems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Conduct system testing, including regression, user acceptance, and integration testing, to ensure smooth system upgrades and new implementations.
• Work closely with finance teams to gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into technical specifications for system enhancements or changes.
• Collaborate with IT and other teams to design and implement solutions that align with business needs and support finance processes.
• Lead the implementation of new finance systems or upgrades, supporting project timelines and ensuring successful execution.
• Facilitate the integration of finance systems with other business applications, ensuring seamless data flow and reporting accuracy.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for system configurations, enhancements, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Generate reports on system performance and usage to support continuous improvement efforts and inform senior management of key issues.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior systems analysts, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.
• Work with other departments to ensure that finance systems meet their needs and are fully integrated with other business functions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years’ experience on NetSuite; General Ledger, Accounts Payable,
• Purchasing, Accounts Receivable, Inter-company, Projects, Fixed Assets.
• Suite Builder (Custom fields, forms, lists, records and segments),
• Suite Flow (Workflows), Suite Analytics (Saved Searches and Reports).
• 5+ Finance Accounting knowledge
• 5+ years’ experience of working within a global finance support team.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in systems analysis or similar roles, preferably within a finance environment.
• In-depth knowledge of finance platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or other enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and system integration.
• Relevant certifications in finance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or systems analysis are desirable.
