Supplier Relationship Manager - UK Sites & Professional Services Procurement

A new position established as a Supplier Relationship Manager, reporting directly to the Head of UK Sites & Professional Services Procurement as one of the management team within the current organisational structure.

Salary: Circa £65,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

The Supplier Relationship Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering the SRM strategy cross 3 major pillars Site Services, Construction and all Professional services categories. The role will enable key suppliers and contracts to be managed and delivered in line with MBDA needs and expectations. Works collegiately with Domain and Category Managers to ensure key suppliers are identified, each Category has a segmented Supplier Relationship roadmap, and roles and responsibilities are clearly defined. Coaches Buyers and Category Managers in SRM techniques and strategies for suppliers managed at sub-Domain level (tactical or local suppliers). Provides advice, trains and develops our people to impart skills, knowledge and tools to allow successful outcomes

What we're looking for from you:

• Senior procurement / SRM professional, MCIPS qualified, with extensive experience of dealing with senior internal and external stakeholders to board level.

• Able to lead, influence and develop SRM strategies in differing contexts and services.

• Knowledge required of contracts and contract law, able to develop and draft SRM schedules, SLAs and KPIs.

• Able to apply and enforce contract terms, manage and develop contracts over the contract lifecycle ready for renewal or competition.

• Excellent written and presenting skills – able to lead independently and make recommendations on strategy.

• A team player – nurturing and coaching our team, ensuring suppliers are positively engaged
