S/4Hana Procurement & Supply Chain Officer

Job Description

IMPACT’ is the name of MBDA’s Group wide change programme to implement S/4HANA, replacing a range of bespoke systems used today. This role will be supporting and ensuring a successful roll out of S/4HANA across the MBDA treasury teams in the UK.

Job Title: S/4Hana Procurement & Supply Chain Officer

Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience

Location: Stevenage (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

The role will require working with the Group Procurement & Supply Chain teams, the IMPACT core team, the overall Systems Integrator and our partners.

Working with and managing key stakeholders both inside and outside the business will be key to delivering a successful solution. An ability to communicate a vision for the deployment of and support the teams to learn how to maximise the new system will also be key deliverables.

You can expect support from across the business, including at senior levels, to deliver this wide-ranging change programme.

  • To deliver a common set of S/4HANA Procurement & Supply Chain capabilities to MBDA UK, while respecting local legal and regulatory requirements, within the boundaries of the common template IMPACT’ is the name of MBDA’s Group wide change programme to implement S/4HANA, replacing a range of bespoke systems used today. This role will be supporting and ensuring a successful roll out of S/4HANA across the MBDA treasury teams in the UK. The role will require working with the Group Procurement & Supply Chain teams, the IMPACT core team, the overall Systems Integrator and our partners’ by acting as a point of contact with the overall Systems Integrator.

  • Support the UK Procurement & Supply Chain input to the design and implementation of a harmonised / standardised process that can be implemented in S/4HANA. You will co-ordinate with others to leverage and improve a single data source and ways of working that provide context and detail to add value to the process.

  • To represent the needs of the UK Procurement & Supply Chain within the project team and ensure that requirements are given due consideration in the design and implementation phases.

  • Identify opportunities to improve UK Procurement & Supply Chain processes and maximise the benefits of S/4HANA within the function by working closely with colleagues to ensure high level of knowledge and understanding is achieved.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Experience in a Procurement & Supply Chain role

  • Must have experience with SAP products or S/4HANA

  • Ability to present and articulate a point of view, improvement or working method.

  • Experience in a complex matrix multi-national organisation.

  • Able to speak French and/or Italian would be an advantage.

  • Excellent communication, influence, persuasion and project management skills

  • Comfortable making decisions for change, where limited information may be available.

  • Proven track record of delivering value-added improvement / transformations in a Procurement setting.
