Senior Delivery Manager

Summary

As Integration Senior Delivery Manager, you will be a member of MARS Integration Hub programme management team responsible for ensuring our internal and / or external partners delivering the integration design and build, workstreams and sub workstreams are delivering to scope, time, and quality.

The Integration workstream will be delivered by an integration design partner and an Integration build partner, both of whom will need to work collaboratively with other partners within the programme. Each partner will have responsibility for delivering their scope of work. This role is to provide assurance to MARS that the teams are working effectively together, that the scope is understood across all partners (nothing falls through the gaps) and acting as a MARS escalation point.
These roles require strong project management abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have extensive knowledge and experience of working with a range of integration technologies such as Mulesoft, Solace, EDI, Biztalk, ADF, SAP BTP and Azure IS.

General Project Management Responsibilities

  • Working with workstream leads to ensure workstream plans are aligned with the project plan.
  • Monitoring the progress of project plans, in-line with time, cost, and quality.
  • Managing the agreed scope of the project, ensuring Change Requests are clearly identified, agreed with relevant parties for sign off prior to work commencing.
  • Being the MARS Integration Hub Programme side escalation point for in scope workstreams.
  • Continually assessing potential risks and issues in the areas of responsibility.
  • Identifying inter-dependencies between the internal and external teams and projects, to ensure all are aligned and risks are identified, mitigated, and communicated.
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external partner teams

Role specific Responsibilities

  • Manage Integration Hub demand pipeline from intake to closure.
  • Identify, analyze, and prioritize Integration Hub demand requests.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot delivery issues in a timely fashion.
  • Manage a delivery team to ensure timely and accurate customer deliveries.
  • Oversee daily activities of delivery team and provide direction and guidance as needed.
  • Develop scope and budget for Integration Hub delivery projects.
  • Management and tracking of cross team/squad dependencies.
  • Provides proactive visibility and effectively communicates delivery targets, commitments and progress.
  • Ensure team(s) maintain focus on quality and continuous delivery.
  • Maintain reports, records, and documentation to reflect Integration Hub activities.
  • Coordinate and lead weekly, monthly and annual review meetings (onsite if needed).
  • Provide assurance to MARS Integration Hub Programme Team that the Integration teams are working effectively to time, cost, and quality.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business or computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience working in the engineering organization of a product company using common Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, XP)
  • You should have knowledge of SAP/ERP systems in ERP/HCM
  • Understand the basics of integrations across multiple platforms, e.g. (Mulesoft, Solace, EDI, Biztalk, ADF, SAP BTP and Azure IS).
  • Good knowledge of programme and project management methods including MSP and PRINCE2 or similar.
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.

Nice to have:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
  • Prince 2 or PMI Certification
  • Prior consulting experience would be beneficial
  • Any Hands-on Integration technologies experience would be beneficial i.e. (Mulesoft, Solace, EDI, Biztalk, ADF, SAP BTP and Azure IS).
