UI / UX Design Lead

Mars Petcare consists of four Divisions: Pet Nutrition, Royal Canin, Mars Veterinary Health and Science & Diagnostics. With this breadth and scale, the opportunity to create benefits for Pets and our business through data and analytics is huge and we need to seize this opportunity now.

Data and Analytics is foundational to almost every element of our Petcare Strategy and is at the heart of several business transformations. To support this, we have organised ourselves to build data analytics products in three priority areas:

  • Data for Growth - fueling organic growth and building strong customer relationships
  • Data for Core – transforming our supply chain and power sustainability efforts
  • Data for Science – providing the interface between data and life sciences

The UI / UX Lead will be responsible for working with product teams and stakeholders to create product designs and user journeys that will assure end users get the most out of the products we are building. The wireframes and prototypes they create will guide the development team and will act as an early stakeholder engagement tool.

What are we looking for?

Essentials

  • 3+ years’ experience building out designs and user journeys for Data Analytics products
  • Experience using design tools like Figma
  • Experience building out design standards, templates and toolkits
  • Ability to confidently run design workshops
  • Strong story telling skills, ability to create a narrative around your designs and tell it well

Nice to haves

  • Familiar with developing UI/UX designs for Business Intelligence solutions
  • Understanding of design thinking principles
  • Understanding of PowerBI and / or other BI tools

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Developing high quality designs for data analytics products and solutions
  • Running design workshops
  • Building out design standards and templates for Power BI and React
  • Supporting Product Managers and Leads with stakeholder engagement
