Job Description:
The Technology Owner for Web Hosting is a recognized expert responsible for the strategy, modernization, and optimization of web services infrastructure. As a domain leader, the Technology Owner provides deep technical expertise, enforces architectural best practices, and collaborates cross-functionally with development, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to deliver world-class web hosting capabilities. This includes overseeing platforms that support websites, APIs, content delivery, and web application hosting across hybrid environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, on-prem).
What are we looking for?
Hands-on experience managing web hosting platforms (e.g., IIS, Apache, Nginx), container-based web services (Docker, Kubernetes), and hybrid cloud deployments
Strong expertise with cloud web hosting solutions (e.g., AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Azure App Services, CloudFront, Azure Front Door, etc.)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks (e.g., Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
Understanding of domain management, DNS configuration, SSL/TLS, WAFs, and load balancing
Experience managing Windows and Linux-based web applications and servers
Strong understanding of web application security and compliance requirements
Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
What will be your key responsibilities?
Lead the technical strategy, design, and evolution of enterprise web hosting platforms and web service delivery.
Provide expert guidance to product and engineering teams on web hosting architectures, performance tuning, and scalability.
Define and manage the technology roadmap for web services infrastructure, including modernization of legacy hosting environments.
Drive implementation of secure, high-performance, and highly available web platforms using modern cloud-native and hybrid solutions.
Manage lifecycle activities for hosting platforms including deployment, monitoring, updates, patching, and decommissioning.
Oversee integration with DNS, CDN, WAF, load balancing, SSL management, and API gateways.
