The SRM Leader Pricing & Pack – reports into the SRM Head Pricing & Pack. This role develops the local market through price, portfolio and pack strategies for translating into a ‘playbook’ which is used to engage sales behind the SRM strategy and be the principles from which to engage customers. This role has responsibility over the total price, portfolio and pack strategies, setting our ambitions and defining principles that optimise our portfolio mix to improve NSV/t.

This role plays critical support for ‘One Demand’ portfolio strategy development and improved execution at the market level. The SRM Leader is a key business partner and market co-pilot for CBU Marketing participating in key forums across the S&OP+ cycle as required.

This role is critical to ensuring delivery of annual & long term SRM commitments and marketplace competitiveness while building expert capabilities across SRM growth pillars:

  • Pricing - Drive consumer penetration & category profit pool with optimized pack-price architecture.

  • Mix for Growth – Guide SKU optimization & growth strategies to support NSV growth and MAC targets

  • Key stakeholder engagement – Works with key One Demand partners to create the playbook inputs for key areas of the portfolio. Effectively influences key CBU & Sales stakeholders to ensure all future portfolio moves & non innovation growth levers are aligned to the SRM long term objectives.

  • Project management – Be the SRM Leader for key pack projects including re-engineering and channel initiatives.

What are we looking for?

  • Degree level or equivalent experience

  • Graduate calibre, with extensive experience in a blue chip FMCG/consumer products with a strong commercial background

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Leads the creation of all SRM activities for Operating Plan delivery of Pricing, Trade ROI and Mix (including Portfolio Simplification) commitments via inputting to promotional playbook driven by robust fact bases on brand/pack/channel pricing dynamics.

  • Defines long term (Yr+3) contribution to MWC MAC delivery and NSV/t ambitions through pricing, pack and portfolio strategies.

  • Key interface with CBU Marketing, Sales and Finance to create the Playbook inputs and define financial implications.

  • Leads the project management of SRM Re-engineering and channel initiatives through to ER. Working hand in hand with activity management, Finance, Sales and CBUs tasked with keeping projects on track and finding creative solutions to remove or overcome project barriers.

  • Vital co-pilot to CBU Heads to ensure future NPD projects reflect the SRM long-term objectives, capturing the correct assumptions through S&OP+ and Battlefields, proactively highlighting gaps or areas of misalignment.

  • Be the champion for all elements relating to price, promo and portfolio, driving insights from regular scorecards, market/competitor analysis and retailer strategies.

  • Works with the SRM Analyst to manage & monitor SRM initiative dashboard & KPIs, embedding market level SRM processes & tools for capabilities building and documentation of learning.

  • Lead the deep dive learning review, recommendation and course correction for key projects relating to operating plan delivery.

  • Vital co-pilot for the SRM Leaders deploying Playbook, working in true partnership to ensure full line of one deployment across the SRM team, a center point of expertise and to listen to key insights and drive medium to long term course correction as required.

  • Partners with Category Leadership and Customer Marketing to drive more compelling Retailer Value Propositions.
