PRO Consumer Recruitment Marketing Specialist

Guelph, CN

Hybrid (on-site 3 days a week)

The PRO Consumer Recruitment Marketing Specialist is responsible for designing, building & activating an incredible first brand experience for new pet owners across North America (United States & Canadian markets). This role is a key driver of planning, execution & innovation on the brand’s premier Breeder & Shelter consumer recommendation programs.

The ideal candidate brings proven experience in marketing operations, cross-channel program management & data-informed decision-making. They will collaborate closely with customer marketing, direct-to-consumer, digital technology & supply chain teams to execute & elevate program performance.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience, with a developed understanding of marketing operations, data/analytics & program management
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management & performance analytics software (PowerBI, Salesforce, Google)
  • Stakeholder management
  • Strength in translating performance data into insights and into in-market action
  • Creative thinker & problem solver with a passion for brand strategy
  • Executional excellence, showcasing attention to detail & ability to deliver on-time, in-full, to the highest-quality possible
  • Strong communication & presentation skills (oral & written)
  • Skill in developing & cultivating strong internal (cross-functional) & external (customer & agency) partnerships
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, redirecting focus behind what matters most

Nice to have

  • Marketing agency, consumer brand or pet industry experience a plus
  • Experience with design thinking & agile process (test/learn/scale) a plus

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Design & deliver consumer recommendation programs, spanning physical (sample kits) & digital mediums (web, email, direct-to-consumer)
  • Lead annual plan inputs (strategic, tactical & growth) for program portfolio
  • Build strategy & execution plans for consumer sampling initiatives, including design of recruitment packaging, communication materials & value propositions
  • Own marketing operations for recommendation kits, inclusive of cross-functional demand planning, supply/co-pack forecasting, budget management & innovation projects
  • Function as the quality management process (QMP) representative for all recommendation kit & sampling programs
  • Responsible for performance measurement (data tracking & insight) as well as optimization activities
  • Manage creative development processes (brief, review, production) for all touchpoints
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers’ motivations & pain-points by running quarterly interviews & empathy sessions (in-field with Breeders, Shelters & pet owners)
  • Design & activate new test/learn/scale initiatives within program portfolio
  • Be the subject matter expert for consumer recommendation, operating as the key point-of-contact & program lead with field sales, customer marketing & senior leadership (as needed)
  • Work collaboratively with sales leadership & customer marketing to ensure field teams are fully equipped to effectively sell & amplify results with Breeders & Shelters
