Role : Payroll Specialist - SEA
Location : Gurgaon/Hyderabad
Job Purpose
This person is responsible for payroll processing payment through the appropriate channels for local associates and expatriate associate from regional /long term assignment who are based in SEA countries (Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Vietname & Indonesia ) for Mars. To manage and specialize the payroll statutory reports and requirements (Personal Income Tax, Social Security, Provident Fund etc) and other Garnishments related in order to deliver timely and correctly of calculation and submission to ensure good governance and internal control. The job covers period end closing process, analyze and accrue SWB, and other ad-hocs.
Job Responsibilities
Payroll Process
Works closely with Payroll Outsources, P&O, S&F and MGSF to ensure that payroll process are in the right track.
Collate and verify various data and information required for carrying out Payroll processes
Reconcile the payroll payment to ensure that the payment in each period are correct and comply with Mars policy.
Ensuring the accuracy of relevant Government reports such as Personal Income Tax, Social Security, Provident Fund, and other statutory requirements
Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
Complies with local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Payroll Accounting
Perform the period end closing process, actual and accrual bookkeeping, analyze and forecast SWB including provide commentary for all variances
Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts and monitor the accruals which related to payroll
Others
Maintain close collaborations with internal and external parties
Support local, regional, and global payroll teams on projects related to Payroll.
Vendor Management – Proactively manage payroll related vendors, ensuring productive and transparent relationship.
Work with Audit & Compliance teams when required in supporting audits and compliance reviews.
Job Specifications/Qualifications
Education & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Graduate calibre, with at least 3 years’ payroll experience
Experience in SEA payroll are preferred
Knowledge / Experience
Good communication skill and interpersonal skill
Good planning skill, can manage multiple tasks
Understand local payroll and statutory requirement
Experienced MS Office and SAP
