The New Demands & Delivery Lead (Scrum Master) for Business Delivery Services is responsible for driving the continuous evolution of the products in the portfolio by managing business demand intake, prioritization, backlog governance, and delivery execution. The role acts as the bridge between business stakeholders, operations, and development partners, ensuring that improvement initiatives are aligned with business value, operational priorities, and delivery capacity.
This position champions Agile ways of working, Lean thinking, and data-driven decision making to continuously optimize processes, improve service quality, and maximize value delivery. Working closely with business teams, product owners, and technical partners, the role ensures that continuous improvements are delivered efficiently, transparently, and according to agreed priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
New Demand Management: Lead the end-to-end demand management process, ensuring new requests are evaluated, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives, product strategy, operational priorities, and available delivery capacity.
Backlog & Delivery Management: Own the product backlog by balancing business value, technical dependencies, operational impact, and development capacity, while coordinating delivery planning and execution with internal teams and external partners.
Agile Leadership: Champion Agile ways of working by facilitating delivery ceremonies, promoting Scrum and Kanban best practices, coaching stakeholders, and driving continuous improvements in team collaboration and delivery effectiveness.
Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize business processes, increase operational efficiency, eliminate waste, and maximize value delivery through Lean principles and structured problem-solving methodologies.
Process Excellence: Partner with business stakeholders to analyze, simplify, standardize, and continuously improve business processes, ensuring scalable, efficient, and sustainable practices.
Development Performance Management: Define, monitor, and communicate delivery and operational development performance through meaningful KPIs, dashboards, and data-driven insights that support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Capacity & Vendor Management: Coordinate development capacity planning, vendor performance, and resource allocation to ensure delivery commitments are met while balancing competing business priorities and maximizing development efficiency.
Stakeholder Management: Build trusted relationships with business and IT stakeholders, facilitating prioritization decisions, managing expectations, and communicating roadmap progress, delivery status, risks, and dependencies with clarity and transparency.
Job specifications and qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is desirable.
Scrum Master, Product Owner, Agile, SAFe, PMP, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
DevOps, ITIL, COBIT, or PMP certification is a plus.
Experience:
Proven experience leading Continuous Improvement or Product Delivery initiatives in enterprise environments.
Experience managing business demand, backlog prioritization, and Agile delivery processes.
Strong experience facilitating collaboration between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
Experience working with outsourced development teams and vendor management.
Experience supporting digital transformation programs is highly desirable.
Experience working with SAP or enterprise applications is desirable.
Experience leading cross-functional workshops and process improvement initiatives.
Experience using Lean methodologies to improve operational performance.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
Strong backlog management and prioritization techniques.
Demand management lifecycle.
Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Process mapping and business process improvement.
Delivery planning and capacity management.
KPI definition and performance measurement.
Burn-down charts, velocity analysis, cycle time, and lead time metrics.
Data analysis and reporting.
Advanced Microsoft Excel.
Power BI or similar reporting tools.
Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar Agile management platforms.
Understanding of IT Service Management (ITIL) principles.
SAP Finance ecosystem knowledge is considered a plus.
