The Purpose of this job is to support execution of digital initiatives on site. Working alongside Controls and Factory IT team and making sure that technical part of projects is executed with excellence. Actively collaborates with local/regional Controls and Factory IT + Smart Factory teams to implement or develop technical solutions.
High level of independency for technical execution part. The results delivered through personal contribution like programming PLC’s, connecting to databases, or executing through external vendors where needed.
Coordination of conceptual and technical project execution with high level of ambiguity. Alignment with local controls team strategic direction.
Minor routine, changing duties and responsibilities within a defined responsibility area of Controls.
What are we looking for?
- Electrical engineering qualification (Controls systems, IT)
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills
- Proven experience in Engineering (Controls or Factory IT)
- Strong technical knowledge in Electrical Engineering and Manufacturing process.
- Experience in PLC programming, understanding how data is exchanged between systems, knowledge of Manufacturing systems components
- Strong interpersonal skills and interact with various functional groups
What will be your key responsibilities?
Excellence in Concept & Design
Implementation of digitalization initiatives which are aligned with Regional Smart Factory roadmap.
This includes:
- Translation of initial Smart Factory engineering concepts into an engineering design and costing
- Preparing data collection design from Machine PLC’s and connecting to site Database
- Support the design of digital standards within the CoE with the input from local site.
Excellence in Execution
- Steering and Review accountability in line with the PM Methodology
- Executing data collection activities from Machine PLC’s and connecting to site Database to provide to digital solutions.
- Support further technical development of Performance data collection system and its extensions i.e.: waste data, Digital FMOS
- Coordinate digital infrastructure extension projects with local teams (wifi network extension, digital tool addition to workplaces)
- Execute technically new solution testing and deployment to provide advanced process control i.e.: Machine Learning algorithms, Machine vision applications, closed loop statistical process control etc.
People
- Exchange of information with Community of Experts in regional and local forums between Smart Factory Team and Engineering team
- Ensure customer focus when executing the initiatives.
- Utilize external vendors when needed and local expertise when practical
