The European Digital Media Manager will be a key part of the transformational journey to data driven brand building with the aim to transform the way we connect with the pet parents and build relationships with them at the heart of everything we do.

Reporting to European ICP Cluster Media Head, you will be responsible for implementing the local integrated paid media plans - ranging from brand awareness through to engagement, conversion and loyalty. You will work with the media agencies, Brand, regional Content teams to brief, coordinate, deploy and review integrated brand campaigns through the relevant paid media channels – with the support and guidance of the ICP Cluster Media Head.

You will have strong digital marketing & eCom experience - understanding how to deploy media and content strategies that drive conversion effectively and efficiently. Success depends on building local alignment between Customer [brick & mortar, eCom & D2C] teams to ensure fully integrated brand activations. The final goal is to drive incremental NSV via data-driven marketing

You will have a passion for driving acquisition, engagement and conversion of consumers through paid media such as Video, Social, Search among other channels. You will need to deliver, alongside the ICP Cluster Media Head, the test and learn agenda for your market: key focus areas will be Retail Media, Data Partnership, Influencers Marketing and Social Commerce.

You will need an eye for detail and an understanding of Media and Content KPIs, as you will be responsible for tracking its performance.

This role best suits someone who likes to 'do' and Isn't afraid of having to roll up their sleeves to get stuff done. You will need excellent project management skills In order to prioritise your workload.

You will be highly collaborative and need to partner across the Mars team including peers in the performance & acquisition, digital teams, local teams, Regional marketing & CMI teams, commercial teams as well as agencies and industry partners.

The successful candidate will possess an entrepreneurial ‘can do’ spirit, be comfortable with ambiguity and a be willing to push the envelope. They will need a collaborative approach enabling them to influence the transformation agenda in the assigned cluster and recruit more pet parents to Mars brands.

What are we looking for?

  • 4 years minimum experience in performance marketing & content strategy
  • Degree qualified or equivalent digital education
  • Understanding of the media landscape in Spain
  • Preference for understanding of buying media, particularly digital
  • A genuine interest in data driven marketing and demonstrating clear results for advertisers
  • Stakeholder Management experience in a multi-cultural environment required
  • Languages: Fluent Spanish and English required
  • A passion for cats and dogs would be ideal

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • DEPLOY BEST IN CLASS INTEGRATED CONNECTIONS PLAN:

  • Accountable for excellent deployment of the market's integrated brand media plans (from briefing to execution)
  • Localise the digital strategy including Digital Media Best Practices, Content Initiatives, Test and Learn
  • End to end management of Creators/Influencers led campaigns for the different Pet Nutrition brands. Validate content and include it their annual social content calendars when relevant.
  • Ensure best in class reporting for local integrated brand media plans
  • Responsible for deployment of campaign content which deliver right through to conversion, with the support of external transcreation agencies.
  • Work closely with Brand and local teams to tailor plans based on ever-changing needs.
  • Build excellent working relationships with the external agency partners, to drive execution of best-in-class plans
  • STRONG STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT AND COLLABORATION:

  • Strong strategic agility and great storytelling (with numbers) will be needed to influence change and engage multiple stakeholders.
  • Support customer teams to execute best-in-class testing of offsite media (online) to drive Mars sales, including delivery of incremental ROI
  • Develop online customer best practices on building traffic and sales with offsite digital campaigns (Affiliation, Paid Search, CRM, Banners, OLV, etc.)
