Main Accountabilities

1. Own end-to-end technical support for Controllership & Treasury banking integrations.

Ensure reliable and secure technical operations across treasury banking integrations, acting as the primary technical interface between Finance stakeholders and the external support vendor.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own the end-to-end technical support of SAP Multi Bank Connectivity (MBC) integrations, ensuring operational stability across S/4, middleware, and bank connectivity layers.

  • Act as the primary technical liaison between Finance stakeholders and the support vendor, translating business issues into technical actions and coordinating resolution.

  • Coordinate L2/L3 vendor support for incident management and troubleshooting, including payment processing, bank connectivity, IDocs, and integration failures.

  • Monitor and support the technical stability of critical finance processes, including payment execution, bank statement processing, and treasury-related integrations.

  • Oversee data flow integrity between S/4, integration platforms, and banking networks, ensuring proper monitoring and issue resolution.

  • Drive root cause analysis and permanent fixes for recurring technical issues in coordination with vendors and platform teams.

  • Ensure technical readiness and operational support during critical financial cycles, including payment runs and financial closing periods.

2. Vendor Management & Technical Governance

Lead the operational governance of third-party support vendors, ensuring high service quality, compliance with defined support processes, and adherence to agreed service levels.

  • Lead the operational management of third-party support vendors, ensuring service quality, SLA adherence, and effective incident resolution.

  • Coordinate vendor activities for technical fixes and operational changes aligned with Product and Finance priorities.

  • Ensure vendors follow established support processes, escalation protocols, and technical standards.

  • Act as the primary escalation point for major incidents, technical failures, and service disruptions.

  • Conduct root cause analysis with vendors and technical teams to ensure permanent resolution of recurring incidents.

  • Track service performance metrics and drive continuous improvement of vendor service performance.

  • Ensure technical readiness and operational support during critical financial cycles, including payment runs and financial closing periods.

3. Environment & Release Management

Ensure controlled and stable promotion of technical changes across environments in coordination with vendors and technical teams, maintaining operational integrity and minimizing business disruption.

  • Coordinate S/4 transport management across development, testing, and production environments.

  • Support controlled migration of technical changes across DEV, QA, and PROD environments.

  • Coordinate testing activities with vendors, technical teams, and relevant stakeholders.

  • Validate technical readiness, integration stability, and transport integrity prior to production deployment.

  • Support service introduction and hypercare activities for newly deployed solutions or enhancements.

4. Incident, Data & Operational Support

Ensure stable technical operations of Controllership and Treasury banking integrations, supporting critical finance processes and minimizing operational disruption.

  • Manage treasury integration incidents and service tickets through the ITSM platform.

  • Coordinate troubleshooting of payment execution issues, bank connectivity failures, and integration errors across bank connectivity platforms.

  • Monitor and support S/4 interfaces related to payments, bank statements, and treasury integrations.

  • Ensure operational readiness during payment cycles and treasury operational windows.

  • Ensure timely resolution of incidents with vendor support when impacting finance operations or banking communication.

5. Documentation, Audit & Compliance Support

Maintain governance, documentation, and compliance standards across the treasury banking integration landscape.

  • Ensure transparency, traceability, and audit readiness of supported systems and integrations.

  • Maintain and enhance support procedures, operational runbooks, and technical documentation.

  • Contribute to ITSM knowledge base articles and operational documentation.

  • Track and report operational service metrics and support KPIs.

  • Support IT General Controls compliance activities related to financial systems and bank connectivity integrations.

  • Ensure documentation and operational procedures remain current and aligned with ITSM standards.

  • Ensure technical readiness and operational support during critical financial cycles, including payment runs and financial closing periods.

6. Stakeholder Alignment

Act as the technical bridge between Finance stakeholders, Product leadership, internal technology teams, and external vendors.

  • Partner with Finance stakeholders, who own the finance process design, ensuring the technical reliability and supportability of supporting systems.

  • Collaborate with platform, security, data, and integration teams to ensure system stability and operational supportability.

  • Ensure alignment between product strategy and operational support execution.

  • Provide technical advisory input to finance transformation initiatives and programs.
