Role : Activity & Strategic Projects Manager

Location: Hyderabad, India

Brief Description of Role

As the Activity & Strategic Projects Manager at Mars Pet Nutrition, you will be responsible for end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of commercial and supply activities. You will ensure seamless delivery of business priorities across demand, supply, and customer execution, acting as the central orchestrator between Marketing, Sales, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Finance. This role is critical in translating business strategy into actionable activity plans, enabling mutuality and efficiency across the organization.

What Are We Looking For?

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or operations

  • 2–5 years’ experience in FMCG, Consumer Goods, Food, or Petcare industry

  • Strong understanding of S&OP/IBP processes and supply chain fundamentals

  • Proven project management and cross-functional coordination skills

Nice-to-Haves:

  • MBA qualification

  • Experience in new product launch coordination and promotion execution planning

  • Familiarity with SAP/APO/Kinaxis or other planning tools

  • Experience working in matrix organizations

What Would Be Your Key Responsibilities?

  • Activity Planning & Governance: Own the activity planning process aligned with S&OP/IBP cycles. Develop integrated activity calendars for innovations, promotions, pack changes, discontinuations, and seasonal demand spikes. Ensure cross-functional alignment on timelines, risks, and readiness.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the central integrator across Marketing, Sales, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, and Logistics. Facilitate activity readiness meetings and governance forums, driving decision-making through structured escalation.

  • Execution Excellence: Ensure flawless launch and execution of new product introductions, pack-size launches, and promotional activations. Track execution milestones from concept to market availability and monitor risks impacting service levels or launch timelines.

  • Supply Chain Impact Management: Assess operational impact of activities on capacity, inventory, service level, and cost-to-serve. Collaborate with planners to mitigate supply risks and support scenario planning and contingency creation.
