Job Description

We are looking for a UX Manager and design leader with deep experience in design strategy, enterprise UX, and UX leadership to help shape the future of ocean transportation experiences.
As a UX Manager, you will set the direction for UX within Ocean Transportation, a domain critical to Maersk’s operations. You will lead a team of designers and collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology to deliver intuitive, efficient, and delightful end-to-end experiences. This role requires a strong ability to apply system thinking, leverage AI in Product Design, and navigate complexity to create scalable solutions that meet customer and operational needs.
You will be part of a broader UX team of 20+ designers within Transported by Maersk and report to the Head of UX.

Key Responsibilities
Define and drive UX direction for Ocean Transportation, aligning with business objectives and transformation goals.
Drive UX vision for complex operational areas, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic goals.
Establish metrics and KPIs to measure UX impact and continuously improve outcomes.
Communicate strategic value of design to stakeholders at all levels, securing buy-in for design-led initiatives
Champion end-to-end journey thinking, ensuring experiences are seamless across touchpoints and systems.
Integrate AI and data-driven insights into design processes to enhance decision-making.
Oversee design processes for all Ocean Transportation products, ensuring consistency and quality.
Work closely with Product Owners and Business stakeholders to explore problem spaces, ideate solutions, and lead research, design, and testing from concept to launch.
Provide leadership and mentorship to a growing UX team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Promote Design Thinking, user-centric approaches, and system-level thinking across teams.
Qualifications
MA/MSc in HCI, Product Design, or related field, with extensive experience in enterprise UX and complex systems.
Proven experience as a people manager, with strong leadership and coaching skills.
Expertise in system thinking and designing for interconnected processes.
Experience in delivering frameworks for scalable designs across platforms.
Strong visual design sense and ability to create scalable design systems.
Experience working in agile and iterative environments, ideally during large-scale transformations.
Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to simplify complexity.
Strong communication skills for articulating design rationale and influencing stakeholders.
Experience with AI-driven design approaches or data-informed UX. Familiarity with design tools and AI powered work processes, such as in Figma, Lovable.
7+ years in UX design, with 2+ years leading and scaling design teams.
