Opportunity: People Advisor – Maersk, Lisbon Office

Maersk is seeking a dedicated People Operations Advisor to join our Global Operations team in our vibrant Lisbon office. This role offers a unique chance to be part of the People Operations Advisory Team supporting our Headquarters in Denmark.

You will join the People Operations Advisory team to gain in-depth knowledge of our Service Delivery Model, Processes, and Technology. Your role will focus on driving HR process implementation, change management, and resolving people queries, ensuring an outstanding employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with HR procedures, practices, policies, systems, and regulations in relations to the HQ.
  • Respond to HR queries via online platforms i.e Workday and chat.
  • Support training and change management initiatives.
  • Manage case resolution from opening to closure, including escalation as needed.
  • Guide employees and managers in using self-service tools such as Workday and other HR systems.
  • Maintain HR data quality and perform transactions within HR systems.
  • Prepare and manage HR documentation.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Execute system updates, including performance form uploads and changes.
  • Provide administrative support requiring face-to-face employee interaction.
  • Offer general HR support across the employee lifecycle and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Analyze feedback from employees and HR users to enhance the employee experience.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a customer-oriented, energetic, and passionate individual committed to delivering excellent employee experiences and efficient query resolution.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in HR or several years in a customer-facing service role with an interest in HR.
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field is a strong advantage.
  • Experience with HR systems, preferably Workday, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict and demonstrate keen attention to detail.
  • Proactive in identifying needs, investigating options, and collaborating with HR colleagues to find solutions.
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working as an engaged member of a virtual team.
  • Strong orientation towards closure and low tolerance for delays.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
