Job Description
APM Terminals
Process Improvement & Optimization
- Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and bottlenecks using data analysis and on‑ground observation.
- Support improvement projects using Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and problem‑solving tools.
- Document and refine workflows and SLAs to increase operational reliability.
- Implement cost‑reduction and productivity initiatives across operations (yard, warehousing, documentation, transport, etc.).
Standardization & Compliance
- Create, update, and deploy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct regular process audits to ensure adherence to SOPs and compliance standards.
- Monitor and track non-compliances; drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Data Analytics & Reporting
- Build and maintain operational dashboards and KPIs (TAT, productivity, throughput, errors, delays).
- Analyse daily/weekly/monthly performance to identify trends and root causes.
- Prepare improvement reports and present insights to management.
Digital & Automation Support
- Assist in deployment of digital tools, automation systems, and workflow platforms.
- Coordinate with IT/Technology teams to test, validate, and roll out new solutions.
- Train operations staff on system usage and help resolve operational issues.
Quality, Safety & Customer Experience
- Monitor service quality issues, customer escalations, and operational disruptions.
- Support initiatives to improve accuracy, turnaround time, and service reliability.
- Participate in safety audits, 5S implementation, and workplace improvement activities.
Cross‑Functional Coordination
- Work closely with operations, documentation, customer service, yard, and transport teams.
- Support cross-functional workshops and problem-solving sessions.
- Act as a change agent for process discipline and cultural transformation.
