Position Overview:
As a MEC Business Development manager in Europe, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our e-commerce and ground freight logistics strategy.

This role is at the heart of our business. You will collaborate with key departments such as Sales and Product teams, Platform and Tech teams, and externally with our large customer base. As part of the Regional Maersk E-Commerce (MEC) team, you will report directly to the Regional Head of MEC.

We are looking for a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the e-commerce landscape, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to inspire and be part of a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with internal stakeholders, including operations, sales, and customer service teams, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of our business development and pricing functions.
  • Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform decision-making and strategy development.

What We Look For:

  • Extensive experience in business development for logistics, or supply chain management, with a strong focus on e-commerce.
  • Tangible evidence of successful (hyper)growth through sales pipeline management and customer onboarding
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with customers.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and performance improvement.
  • In-depth knowledge of the European e-commerce landscape.
  • Ability to work effectively across different cultures and time zones, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional European languages (Dutch/German) is a plus.

Why Maersk?:
At Maersk, we believe in the power of collaboration and innovation. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to guide and shape our e-commerce logistics strategy in one of the world’s leading logistics companies. We offer competitive compensation, ample opportunities for growth, and the chance to be part of a diverse, inclusive, and supportive global team.
