Job Description
The Growth Enablement for MCL is responsible for leading the strategy conversation and execution of Contract Logistics growth initiatives in Canada . This role serves as a commercial solution architect for SSS and NSS, consultative sales engagements, partnering with operations to develop high-impact solutions, and driving business expansion aligned with MCL’s long-term ambitions. The position requires strong collaboration with Sales, Solutions Design, Pricing, and regional stakeholders to ensure MCL Canada delivers differentiated, scalable, and customer-centric logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. MCL Growth
- Report and advise the business on customer feedback/ RFP trends that will position MCL competitively across verticals.
- Identify and prioritize high-potential opportunities based on market trends and strategic fit for both SSS ( organic growth) & new store sales
- Lead the development and alignment of integrated service offerings aligned with customer needs and MCL Canada growth strategy.
2. Sales Enablement & Collaboration
- Partner with Sales to qualify and activate Contract Logistics opportunities.
- Lead consultative customer engagements, acting as the subject matter expert.
- Co-develop proposals and presentations that reflect MCL’s value proposition.
- Support Sales in translating customer needs into tailored logistics solutions.
3. Solution Development & Commercial Excellence
- Collaborate with Pricing and Solutions Design to build robust business cases.
- Ensure proposals are technically / financially viable, and operationally executable.
- Maintain consistency and quality across all commercial deliverables.
- Lead contract review to ensure alignment with solution scope, financial terms, and operational commitments.
4. Pipeline & Performance Management
- Own the Contract Logistics opportunity pipeline for MCL Canada.
- Track progress, conversion rates, and response times across the sales cycle.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to the Head of MCL Canada and regional stakeholders.
5. Regional & Cross-Border Collaboration
- Align MCL Canada’s growth strategy with regional priorities in NAM and Global lead opportunities.
- Participate in regional forums, benchmarking sessions, and joint initiatives.
- Contribute to regional playbooks, pricing frameworks, and solution templates.
- Engage in multi-country opportunities involving multinational clients.
6. Team & Collaboration
- Develop competencies required to sell, develop, and deliver full solution offerings.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure opportunities are prioritized in accordance with annual budget/ financial commitments.
Key Objectives
- Establish a high-performing Growth Enablement function that becomes a strategic partner to Sales and boost the Contract Logistics growth in Canada.
- Position MCL Canada as a reference in consultative logistics solutions, ensuring that every opportunity is approached with a value-driven, customer-centric mindset.
- Execution of a clear, actionable growth strategy, aligned with local market dynamics and regional priorities (NAM, Canada).
- Ensure seamless collaboration with Sales, Solutions Design, Pricing, and Implementations, creating a unified commercial engine that accelerates opportunity conversion and enhances customer experience.
- Enhance the quality and consistency of commercial proposals, ensuring they reflect Canadian operational feasibility, financial soundness, and strategic alignment.
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and clients, bringing deep expertise in Contract Logistics and the ability to translate complex needs into compelling solutions.
Required Profile
- Proven experience in consultative B2B, B2C, sales, supply chain, or fulfillment.
- Strong technical background in Contract Logistics, with hands-on understanding of operations, solution design, implementation processes, and financial modeling. The candidate must be able to connect commercial strategy with operational feasibility and profitability.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Operational knowledge with strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation capabilities.
- Familiarity with contract review, pricing platforms, and proposal development systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, balancing local agility with regional alignment.
