Here’s the Deal:

We are looking for a LAM Corporate Tax Operations Specialist to support the execution, data management, and delivery of corporate income tax, withholding tax, and other direct tax processes for Maersk entities in LATAM.

This role ensures that tax compliance obligations are met accurately, on time, and in line with global standards, while supporting a data-led, technology-enabled tax function. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, manage tax data and documentation, and work closely with internal teams, global tax leaders, and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file corporate income tax, withholding tax, and other direct tax returns accurately and on time for LATAM entities
• Collect, prepare, process, and analyze tax-related data, including reconciliations, exception checks, and validations
• Support tax payments, group tax reporting, and statutory tax disclosures
• Maintain proper documentation and evidence to support tax filings and tax positions
• Monitor and manage LATAM tax compliance processes, ensuring adherence to local regulations and global policies
• Assist in managing the tax function by supporting tax strategies, procedures, controls, and planning opportunities
• Collaborate proactively with internal and external stakeholders, including Global Tax, Finance, ATR, Group Accounting, statutory reporting teams, and third-party advisors
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, data quality, risk management, and effective use of technology

The Basics:

Academic Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Accounting, or related field
• Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent is a plus

Years of Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in tax compliance activities

Software:
• ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Excel (intermediate level or higher)

Technical Skills:
• Preparation of direct tax returns for the LATAM region
• Knowledge of IFRS tax reporting, including tax provisions and tax exposures
• Understanding of corporate income tax and withholding tax processes

English Level:
B2 (effective communication in an international business environment)
