Purpose and Objectives
Are you an experienced tax professional seeking a dynamic role in an international environment? We are looking for a Local Tax Manager for Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama to join our international tax team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing tax-related matters in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You will also support cross-functional coordination and contribute to enhancing and automating our tax processes globally.

Expectation and Task
As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama legal entities comply with internal and external tax requirements, including Corporate Income Tax, Value Added Tax, Tax Accounting, Withholding Tax, and Transfer Pricing.
You will actively manage and support tax audits and litigations, including leading communications and negotiations with tax authorities, auditors, and external tax advisors, while also overseeing and optimizing external budgets.
You will collaborate closely with Global Tax Team members to identify, plan, and execute tax-planning opportunities and tax cash-optimization initiatives.
You will manage and ensure the proper implementation of tax law changes, coordinating with IT and key business stakeholders as needed.
You will oversee transfer pricing policies and ensure full compliance with intercompany transactions.
You will also provide guidance and support to other departments on tax-related matters, including assessing the tax implications of business decisions and transactions, ensuring a high level of internal customer satisfaction, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Plus Costa Rica and Panama
· Ensure that legal entities in Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama comply with both internal and external tax requirements, including Corporate Income Tax, Value Added Tax, Tax Accounting, Withholding Tax, and Transfer Pricing.

· Responsibilities also include oversight for Costa Rica and Panama.
· Contribute to effective tax rate management and cash tax management for SAP subsidiaries across regions.
· Act as a trusted business advisor in partnership with the wider tax team members
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
· University degree (or equivalent) in tax, business studies, economics, finance, or a related field.
· Strong knowledge of tax regulations in the region.
· Strong communication skills and a positive team player with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively across departments.
· Familiarity with international tax matters and transfer pricing items or an eagerness to learn in this area.
· A CPA, qualified Tax Advisor or similar certification with focus on taxation is a plus
· Enjoy analytical thinking
· Growth Mindset. Self-driven
· Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years working experience in a tax-related role within an international environment, either in a tax consulting firm or within the tax or accounting function of a multinational company.

The regional LATAM Tax Team is looking for a Local Tax Manager with a focus on Mexico, Panama, and Costa Rica. Within the LATAM team, you will be part of a cross-functional collaborative working approach. You will gain detailed knowledge of local and regional tax and business matters by working closely with your colleagues in a hybrid work environment.
