About the role

We are looking for an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to join the indirect tax advisory team in the Headquarters in Copenhagen. In this role, you will support profitable growth in Maersk by advising product teams, commercial teams and finance teams on indirect tax implications of business opportunities and changes. You will also help imbedding indirect tax in platforms and in that way both enable the seamless customer journey as well as safeguarding the indirect tax compliance.
In the role you will deal with internal and external stakeholders, and you will be part of an international & globally connected tax team.

Key responsibilities


• Capture and enable indirect tax requirements for platform projects globally, mainly SAP S/4 Hana implementation working as a bridge between legislation and system/technology setup
• Advise product and commercial teams on indirect tax implications of new products, business opportunities, and solutions
• Provide training and internal guidelines for teams involved in invoice issuance and postings
• Work closely with indirect tax operations teams to establish risk-based compliance processes
• Represent the indirect function in Danish tax associations, incl. SKAT working groups
• Monitor Law Change, assess and identify relevant changes - communicate new legislation to relevant stakeholders
• Support end2end digital opportunities between contracting and invoicing and support automation in general

Who we are looking for


• Minimum 8 years’ experience from inhouse indirect tax function and Big4 consultancy firms
• Master’s degree in law or economics
• Solid knowledge in Danish VAT legislation – both practical and theoretical
• Experience from business advisory, ideally from multiple jurisdictions
• Experience from ERP implementations, preferably SAP
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Good project management skills
• Works well in a team but is also able to work independently
• Possess a commercial mindset with a customer focus
