Country Sales Manager, Norway

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Country Sales Manager – Norway to lead and develop our commercial agenda across one of Maersk’s strategically important markets in the Nordics. This critical leadership role is responsible for delivering strong sales performance aligned with area targets, driving both Ocean and Logistics growth, and building a high-performing sales team. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver volume, revenue, and profit targets in line with Area budgets
  • Set clear direction for the sales team; lead with accountability and purpose
  • Expand non-ocean activities, including supply chain and local logistics products
  • Define and drive sales incentive targets in collaboration with Sales FBP
  • Actively monitor and improve local Net Promoter Score (NPS)
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders across country, area, regional and global levels
  • Champion transformation initiatives aligned with company strategy
  • Foster best practice sharing and cross-functional collaboration
  • Provide structured business input to Area leadership on behalf of the country
  • Build, coach, and retain a best-in-class sales team with clear succession planning
  • Drive local employee engagement and lead by example

Who We Are Looking For

  • 8–10 years of experience in transportation & logistics or commercial roles, including at least 6 years in leadership
  • Proven strategic thinker with strong leadership and commercial skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and grow customer relationships across products
  • Skilled in sales management, negotiation, and team development
  • Strong understanding of local business dynamics and customer needs
  • Fluent in English and Norwegian (preferred)

  • Achievement of Ocean and non-Ocean volume, revenue, and profit targets
  • Local NPS performance
  • Engagement survey results
  • Product development input based on customer feedback
  • Talent development and succession coverage
