As the Service Release Manager at Livestock Information Ltd., your focus will be to herd the planning, coordination, and execution of releases across the diverse pastures of our Azure-based terrain! 

We're on the lookout for someone with hands-on experience tending to releases in an ISO 20000 certified environment. You will be a champion for releases that are well tested, secure, scalable and reliable, ensuring minimal disruption for end users, and you’ll also supporting with production environment monitoring.

The interview process for this role will involve an initial phone interview with our Talent Team, followed by first stage and final stage interviews. All interviews will be conducted fully remotely.

Responsibilities 

  • Release Planning and Coordination - collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and schedule releases in accordance with project timelines.  
  • Develop release plans, including timelines, resources, and dependencies.  
  • Azure Platform knowledge: manage releases within the Azure cloud environment, utilizing platform-specific tools and services.  
  • Ensure the compatibility and optimization of applications within the Azure ecosystem.  
  • ISO 20000 Compliance: apply ISO 20000 principles to release management processes, ensuring alignment with IT service management standards.  
  • Implement and maintain release management documentation in compliance with ISO 20000 requirements.  
  • Environment Management: oversee multiple environments, including development, testing, staging, and production. Implement strategies to minimize environmental discrepancies and streamline deployment processes.  
  • Risk Management: identify potential risks associated with releases and implement mitigation strategies. Work closely with stakeholders to communicate and manage expectations related to release timelines and potential impacts.  
  • Continuous Improvement: evaluate and enhance release management processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.  
  • Implement automation and DevOps practices to improve release cycles. 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Release Manager in an Azure environment.  
  • Hands-on experience with ISO 20000 standards and IT service management.  
  • Strong understanding of Azure platform services and tools.  
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer) are a plus.  
  • ISO 20000 certifications are highly desirable.
